“The Merriment of Thieves” has been the name for a collection of poems that has persisted for years, some say up to two centuries, among the lower classes of the Crown Isle in the Regalian Empire. Every few years, a new edition has been produced by an anonymous author, including bawdy songs, insult comedy about nobles and other notable figures in the capital city, alongside the songs of the common people. The last volume was released in March of 305 AC, and the lack of one appearing since has led some to conclude that the author or authors responsible for the text have passed away or left the city. Regardless of the truth, this, the seventieth edition, has been fairly popular and many believe if no one emerges to write a new Merriment soon, others will get around to it. OOC Note: The following texts are excerpts and do not reflect the full possible text.
