[[Aloria]] wouldn’t be a living breathing world if within that breath there weren’t hundreds of bacteria and germs. The Afflictions generated from these creatures, whether formed of their accord in controlled surroundings, or with a bit of help from [[Magic]], all hold adverse effects which they impart onto hapless victims. In recent years, the number of these afflictions has grown, as has the damage they can cause. While some are curable, others are not, which presents a looming threat to the Alorian populace.  
Afflictions are Arcane conditions that cannot be voluntarily cured by the bearer. They range from legal and accepted to illegal and despised, depending on the Affliction in question and a particular society's opinion about it. Afflictions differ in origin. Some have a Planar association, while others do not. The lore for each Affliction can be found on its main page, linked below.
