The Afflicted Point buy is part of the bigger Proficiency System. Please read the Proficiency Page first before reading this one. The Afflicted Point Buy provides Packs for the Character that are only accessible if they are infected with specific Afflictions. The Afflictions are as followed:

Afflicted Predator Pack

Item Scent The user gains a heightened sense of smell, and is able to Detect item ownership even if an item is not actively being used or worn by someone. For example, if they find a shoe in the street, so long as they have been within Emote Range of the wearer before, they are able to identify who it belongs to. They are also able to Detect who used an item such as a door or lever last, so long as they have been within Emote Range of that person before.
Night Vision The user gains night vision or perfect sight at night time. As such, they are not affected by the darkness of night, and can still clearly see as if it was day. Mundane Darkness from being inside equally does not affect them, though Ability based Darkness will still affect them all the same.
Purity Senses The user gains any manner of aesthetic response to the presence of Puretek or Puretek able weapons within Emote Range of them. Examples of such are hairs on the arms standing up, an itch, increased aggression, brighter glowing eyes (if applicable), a rash, steam rising from the skin, or any other such minimal aesthetics. This Special does not reveal where the Puretek is, just that some of it is present nearby. The user can also suppress this effect if it is undesirable in the situation (for example while hiding or disguised)

Lair Illusions The user gains an ability to deceive and affect anyone's senses who is inside the Rental Region/Regalian Business Region or Noble Estate / Clandestine Base that they are a member of. They can create smells that aren't there, illusions of items or people that aren't there, animate inanimate objects, or create sounds that aren't real. These effects can never be so debilitating it would prevent someone from initiating and executing Combat, but they are otherwise as free as the player's imagination.
Lair Senses The user gains an intimate knowledge of anyone present inside their Rental Region/Regalian Business Region or Noble Estate / Clandestine base with them. While they are inside the building, they know exactly how many people are in there with them, who they are, and exactly where they are, even if they are using Abilities or Mundane Techniques to hide or conceal themselves. The only thing this Ability does not see through is Disguises.
Lair Abundance The user's Rental Region/Regalian Business Region or Noble Estate / Clandestine Base is always fully supplied with the basic essentials of food and drinks, scented candles, bath soaps and essential oils. The user can summon banquets of succulent food, pour glasses of exquisite wine, and conjure all manner of entertainment items. They can summon them subtly out of view, or use telekinesis to levitate them through the air and more them around, but this only works on items conjured.

Cursed Haunt The user may haunt a specific location in Emote Range around them, adding certain sounds, smells, and peripheral mirages. This effect travels with them, and anyone in Emote Range will not be able to tell it comes from the user.
Cursed Object The user can curse (non Artifact) hand-held objects, making them appear as if dripping in shadows. If this is done on a book, the book becomes unreadable. This cannot be done on items wielded by others, but is otherwise only limited by size. These Object Curses can be removed by any Exorcism mechanic or Special.
Shared Curse The user no longer needs to feed their addition manually themselves. They can instead derive fed satisfaction off a nearby Afflicted of the same type, so long as that Afflicted has been fed in the last 1 hour. If the user themselves feed, they can also share this feeding with 1 other person within 1 hour of feeding. Physical contact is not needed for this sharing, only eye contact.

Seeking Hearts The user is able to see or Detect people within 7 blocks of them, even through walls or behind obstacles. If the user is a Vampire, they can hear/see the person’s heart/heartbeat/vascular system. If the user is a Cahal, they can hear/see the person’s soul drifting in their body. This effect can also be turned off.
Battle Sense The user can manifest all kinds of mutations or visual changes when they initiate or enter combat, such as steam rising from the skin, increased vascularity, darkening of the eye sockets, increasing size of nails into long claws, thematic sparks flying off their body, etc.
Pulsing Light The user can change the color of any light in a room or area to a desired color. For Vampires this should be any shade of gold or red, and for Cahal this should be any shade of white/gray and blue. Additionally, they can make the light pulse, like a heartbeat. It is not possible to extinguish the light, make it burn brighter, or cast away Darkness with it though, they can only use pre-existing light.

Shadow Wardrobe The Afflictied can magically summon or create clothing that acts as an extension of themselves, and any clothing they wear will automatically fit them, no matter what changes occur to them due to Abilities, Shifts, etc. They can instantly change the color, shape, material, appearance, and texture of their clothing at will, instantly and on the fly, even changing magically to entirely new outfits. This clothing cannot emulate armor or any tough materials, and cannot be used competitively or mid-combat. This altered appearance can be used in combination with Disguise Roguery pack, Afflicted Glamour, or Glamour Magic.
Night Travel The Afflicted is capable of maintaining a consistent speed by turning into a cloud of mist, smoke, bats, or aesthetic effect appropriate for their affliction. They can only move as fast as they are normally capable of running, but they are able to use this altered form to jump over or onto obstacles. The user may move around Regalia with Jump 2 and reach any part they could feasibly reach without the use of Enderpearls and without using leaf blocks to stand on. All other players without similar mechanics cannot use Jump 2 in roleplay.
Umbral Step Afflicted can walk on any surface, whether it be the ceiling, the walls, pillars, water, etc. This cannot be used in combination with combat however, it is not possible to use Abilities or Mundane Techniques while standing on the ceiling out of reach for balance sake, an Afflicted would have to come down to the ground. Afflicted are able to sleep upside down and function normally without any detrimental side effects.
