Alchemy is a varied art in Aloria, with potions to heal, harm or give people abilities they otherwise would not have. Originally a tool of the Allar, it has since spread across the world with the most major practitioners remaining the Allar but also joined by significant parties of Ch’ien-Ji, Qadir, and Songaskians.

The Aids in Alchemy are made to help and not harm the varied races of Aloria. Made to heal all manner of injuries from cuts to bruises to burns, Aids often present themselves as salves and drinkable potions. The vast majority of these are made using plants from the continent of Daen.

Detriments are the poisons and tools of treachery in the Alorian world. These are often employed by the lower elements of society as distractions or tools to carry out their malicious means. Most often appear as powders or suddenly gaseous formulas. In Regalia, most would not sell these potions but factions of the Golden Hand are always willing to make some quick money.

While the vast majority of these can help people or serve as a luxury beverage or food, some can cause harm but this was never the original intention. These are often enjoyed by influential members of society as well as their underlings or overlords.
