Arcanology Point Buy

The Arcanology Point buy is part of the bigger Test System. Please read the Proficiency Page first before reading this one. The Weapon Point Buy provides Packs for the Character to become knowledgeable in certain magical theories, though this does not necessarily make them a Magic user as this governs only wisdom. Getting any of these packs does not make the user an Occult or Aberrant regardless of whether the Pack includes the wielding of Planar Essences that would normally make someone an Occult or Aberrant. Each Pack also has a number of Specials assigned to it, which confers some mechanical uses in roleplay, but are not classified as Abilities.

Affliction Wisdom Pack

Affliction Wisdom allows the user to immerse themselves in the lore of the Afflictions, more specifically the process of infection, curing and the changes of these Afflictions. This confers several benefits:

  • With Affliction Wisdom, a Character becomes learned in the tracking of NPC Vampires and Cahal in Progressions. Without this Pack, they will evade the user.
  • With Affliction Wisdom, a Character becomes immune to Vampiric Infection, and additionally also becomes immune to Blood Sickness that would occur from contact.
  • With Affliction Wisdom, a Character becomes immune to Cahalic infection, and additionally also becomes immune to Soul Sickness that would occur from contact.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack also allows them to Cure Vampires and Cahal at the Curing Chamber.

Dimenthist Wisdom Pack

Dimenthist Wisdom allows the user to immerse themselves in the lore of the Dimensions, more specifically the essences and their presence on Aloria. This confers several benefits:

  • With Dimenthist Wisdom, a Character is able to identify Essences and Energies or Presence in Progressions that are otherwise undetectable to the uninitiated.
  • With Dimenthist Wisdom, a Character can cleanse Mutations that were applied by Void, Exist, Primal or Ordial Essences, including themselves.
  • With Dimenthist Wisdom, a Character can burn a ritual scroll to send a message to Void, Exist, Primal or Ordial entities, no reply guaranteed (Send the message in an RP Community Discord Ticket).
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows them to Exorcise a target to remove any effect that can be cleansed with Exorcism Mechanics.

Volacrum Wisdom Pack

Volacrum Wisdom allows the user to immerse themselves in the Evocarorum Society of the Dimensions, a group involved in willful Magical mutations and infestation.

  • With Volacrum Wisdom, a Character may infect a region in Regalia with Void or Exist Essence, which is counted as Vandalism, and requires an RP Community Discord Ticket.
  • With Volacrum Wisdom, a Character may apply Mutations of either Void or Exist Essence, on a willing or restrained target (even without consent, as it is reversable).
  • With Volacrum Wisdom, a Character may infest a weapon of Puretek and turn it into a Horrortek (Void) or Maligntek (Exist), which just changes the aesthetics.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows them to hijack Void, Exist, Primal and Ordial visions and receive them also.

Heks Wisdom Pack

Heks Wisdom allows the user to be steeped in the mystical lore of the Anglian Witches, or the Heksen, giving them access to a number of Anglian Witch traditions and skills. Note, Anglian Witches are without exception Mundane Characters without Occult or Aberrant powers. You cannot use these Specials if your Character is Afflicted, or has any Magical Abilities. This confers several benefits:

  • With Heks Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate with Anglian Witches in Progressions, as without this Pack, the Anglian Witches will consider the user an outsider and avoid them.
  • With Heks Wisdom, a Character is able to Druidically transfer their consciousness into that of a nearby animal and move around as said animal in the progression (but not in Regalia).
  • With Heks Wisdom, a Character (either in Regalia or in Progressions) will no longer be attacked by wild animals, even predators like bears, but will still be attacked by massive beasts or horrors.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows them to Ping a signal to select Archbloods to call for their aid on their location (must be sent by Server DM).

Hôterie Wisdom Pack

Hôterie Wisdom allows the user to be steeped in the mystical lore of the t'Hôterie Circle of Ithania, a secretive organization of seducers and courtesans who use fringe Primal Magic to aid their cause. Note, les Hôtes are without exception Mundane Characters without Occult or Aberrant powers. You cannot use these Specials if your Character is Afflicted, or has any Magical Abilities. This confers several benefits:

  • With Hôterie Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate and request the aid of Les Hôtes of Ithania in Progressions, as without this Pack, the user will be ignored by them.
  • With Hôterie Wisdom, a Character is able to seduce a Mundane NPC In Progressions (provided compatible sexualities) and commit them to reasonable actions in Progressions.
  • With Hôterie Wisdom, a Character can transfer light feelings of affection to a Target person. The person can however just shake that feeling away, and it is not as powerful as Slizzar Influence.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows the user to disguise themselves perfectly and voice modulate to a different though same sex and race appearance.

Lunässul Wisdom Pack

Lunässul Wisdom allows the user to be steeped in the mystical lore of the Lünassul Society, or the Blue Moon Society, the Allorn Secret Service. Note, Lünassul members and affiliates are without exception Allorn loyalists or realists and as such much believe that the Allorn Empire has the natural right and divine mission to retake its lands lost to the Ailor. You cannot use these Specials if your Character does not believe in Allorn revanchism. This confers several benefits:

  • With Lunässul Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate and request information from the Lunässul Society in the Allorn Empire, within reason (they won't divulge deep state secrets).
  • With Lunässul Wisdom, a Character is able to freely move around the Allorn Empire without being arrested by the Lunässul members, and expelled from the country like others would.
  • With Lunässul Wisdom, a Character can discern the original Race of anyone who was Race changed through some Ability, Mechanic, or greater power or entity or god.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows the user to request the presence of the Allorn Ambassador in roleplay (ask in an RP Community Discord Ticket for time and day).

Bentyia Wisdom Pack

Bentyia Wisdom allows the user to be steeper in the mystical lore of the Bentyia College, or the College of Priests of the Songaskian Masaya. Due to political realities, Qadir Characters cannot make use of this Pack whatsoever, and cannot buy it, nor can Half-Qadir, other races are fine though. This confers several benefits:

  • With Bentyia Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate and request information from the Bentyia College in the Songaskian Masaya, within reason (they won't divulge deep state secrets).
  • With Bentyia Wisdom, a Character is able to freely move around the Farah'deen Deserts and the Colleges of the organization in the major Songaskian Pearl Cities.
  • With Bentyia Wisdom, a Character can detect mass death in an area, and roughly direct the presence of corpses while in Progression areas or Event Tombs and Dungeons and the like.
  • If the CHaracter has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows the user to wield an Ordial Lantern which radiates an extremely uncomfortable effect to Emote Distance Undead.
