Firearms Point Buy is part of the [[Proficiency]] System. Its Packs allow a Character to use firearms, and get firearm-related Mundane Techniques. Despite each Technique being tied to a firearm, as long as the Character has the Technique, they can use it with any of the firearms they know how to use. Firearms are expensive and new: expect them to break often, fire slowly, and not be an instant-win. Also, owning [[Puretek]] is not legal in Regalia without paperwork from the Belliard Representative, which can be acquired in-character. Firearms cannot be pre-loaded when entering scenes.

Firearms can be shot without using an Ability. After firing, the user rolls a 1d20, and hits if the result is higher than 5. It takes one emote to load, and one emote to aim and fire - except Donderbus and Thunderlance, which take two emotes to aim and fire. If the Firearm user is hit by an attack before their final emote, they have to restart from the beginning. Firearm shots penetrate shields. A Pistol and a Donderbus don’t do the same damage, but we don’t want the heavier guns used as one-shot bludgeons; that isn’t what Firearms are for.

Firearms Point Buy is part of the Proficiency System. Its Packs allow a Character to use firearms, and get firearms weapon-related Techniques. Any learned Technique can be used on any weapon a Character knows how to use.

Firearm Weapons can be used to attack people without using their attached Abilities. We encourage dice rolls to resolve disputes when players can't figure out what to do next. Any character can use a firearm with at least one purchase of these Point Buy packs, with the Dexterity stat being used to determine overall skill. If a Character has no Dexterity, they are considered incapable of using a firearm effectively.

Firearms can be shot without using an Ability. After firing, the user rolls a 1d20, and hits if the result is higher than 5. It takes one emote to load, and one emote to aim and fire. If the Firearms user is hit by a melee attack before their final emote, they have to restart from the beginning.
