|metal1desc    = Assena is a unique mineral in [[Aloria]], as while it was once considered a useless material, it has since been discovered as useful and appears in the weapons of the upper class. In its natural solid form, it appears as a tarnished Silver colour with black streaks throughout it appearing as the rust. While in its gaseous form, it appears as a faint grey color and is also toxic, but tends to warn people due to smelling like salted almonds. It is commonly melted down and combined with various metals to serve as a reinforcing material, which is mainly why it has soared in popularity in the war-torn landscape of Aloria during the past few decades.

|metal2   = [[Blacksteel]]
|metal2desc    = Black Iron is the primal counterpart of the more industrially used Blacksteel, and is found almost exclusively in the Dark Iron Tribelands. Due to its place of origin, the metal is used primarily by Gorr races. The metal holds a silvery black shine and is found in large deposits reminiscent of those Ferr-Iron would be found in. Due to its incredible strength and sharpness, it is exclusively used for weaponry as anything else would cause too much potential harm to the user. Although it is strong, it has a tendency to easily shatter when too much pressure is put on it. While not entirely common in the Dark Iron Tribelands, it is not too expensive due to frequent Ailor mining parties sneaking their way to the Tribelands to mine their fill of the metal.
+
|metal2desc    = The refined version of the Black Iron, Blacksteel is seen as one of the Ailor’s biggest achievements due to its drastically improved durability from its previous state. Being an alloy, it does not originate from anywhere else than the forges, yet is still uncommon due to the scarceness of Black Iron making its way to Regalia. Due to the refining process being quite a challenge, Blacksteel is advertised as a luxury metal and is almost exclusively used within the military, and only people with wealth matching Nobility are able to actively purchase the material. Blacksteel is always a raven-black, yet slightly lighter than its unrefined counterpart.

|metal3desc   = Bronze is an alloy of [[Copper]] and [[Tin]] considered to be a decorative metal more than a functional one. The material has been known for centuries along with its ingredients and is often used in the statuary arts, jewelry business and canon casting. The alloy possess no notable abilities, though like any metal it can be polished to a pleasant shine - which, combined with its colouration, is often quite appealing. As the materials needed to make Bronze are plentiful, it is doubtful that this alloy will ever stop being produced and used by the people of Aloria.

|metal4desc    = Cinnochra is a deep red metal found all over [[Fendarfelle]]. Once one of the most important materials extracted by the [[Regalian]] half of the [[Fendarfelle Colonies]] before the [[Bone Horror Crisis]] killed a large quantity of the miners responsible for obtaining Cinnochra, abruptly decreasing the mineral’s supply. Thus, following the years after the Bone Horrors, acquiring this metal has proved to be a challenge for those of lesser wealth. Due to its red coloration, when ground down into a fine powder it serves as a strong and very powerful dye used to bring colour to noble garb, and a selection of very powerfully coloured cosmetic products. Some artists even use the metal for their paints. Cinnochra is also used in the lacquer finishes of wood, as adding in the powder gives the planks a healthy reddish hue to them. One of the metal’s interesting properties, however, is its cinnamon-like taste, yet what comes with it, is toxicity and poisoning, should a large quantity be ingested. Overall, it is a highly diverse mineral and one of the main focuses of the [[Regalian Empire]] in their quest to civilize the jungle continent.

|metal5desc = Copper is a common metal found all across [[Aloria]], in mineral deposits and throughout markets. The mineral is extremely common, and has been used by the lower classes of all races for centuries. It is often seen in the hands of the [[Qadir]], as its ability to conduct heat and electricity makes it useful in various kinds of machinery. It is also used to create the alloy of [[Bronze]], another metal widely used for decoration, due to its fairly extravagant appearance and low cost. Given its bountiful presence across Aloria, it is unlikely that this mineral will run out or go unused.

|metal7desc = Galena is found along the coastline of [[Sendrass]] and on many of the beaches that dot the nearby continent of [[Hadaria]]. The substance has been sought after for centuries, first by the [[Elves]] of the [[Elven Empire]] and later, the [[Ailor]] and [[Songaskians]]. It is an incredibly soft metal with a [[Silver]]-like shine that is used in beauty products and pottery, but also works as a lemony-fresh insect repellent when applied directly on the wrists and neck. Since the fall of the [[Essa Empire]], [[Regalia]] holds a monopoly on the substance, but the [[Masaya of Farah’deen]] has discovered their own independent sources to feed their mutual craving. Given how vast Sendrass is, even if supplies were to ever run out in Hadaria, the material is likely to remain used in [[Aloria]] for centuries to come.

|metal8desc = Gold, despite its majestic appearance, is rather common on Aloria and mined in abundance in the warmer regions of Aloria, namely Sendras, Hadar and modern New Ceardia. On occasion there have been mentions of Gold clusters being unearthed in Farah’deen, and as such the majority of Songaskian and Qadiriq jewellery is derived from this metal. While it is common and near exclusively used for decoration and in jewellery, it's imperative popularity comes from the fact that it is the very metal used for the pressing of modern day Regals - namely, the coin is created from more common and cheaper metals, but always coated with a thin layer of Gold. It carries an often sought-for golden, yellowish shimmer and is very reflective and malleable. While the mineral is relatively common, it can rarely be purchased in a very pure form and is therefore commonly acquirable through travelling merchants or specialised jewellers, and occasionally forges having shipped in a recent abundance. Gold is not a very exclusive metal on Aloria, and well-off commoners can be seen wearing it.

|metal9desc = Hematite is an Ithanian metal carrying a very dark grey colour. Although the mining is exclusive to midland Ithania, it is found in abundance and in large deposits and is therefore common and cheap for Ithanians, yet the export price renders it slightly more expensive for outsiders. Due to Hematite’s very malleable natural state, it is a common metal within the stationery industry, being the primary metal used for creating quill pen nibs, pens, ink pots and printing press machinery parts. The only alternative use is within Elven Culture, where the metal is occasionally used for decorative jewellery, especially hair accessories and headpieces. Hematite can be purchased in its final products from many Ithanian merchants, yet it is rare to come across a marketplace or industry selling the unrefined state.

|metal10desc = Lead is one of the most common minerals across Aloria, but also one of the hardest to get a hold of. While it can be found almost anywhere in relatively large deposits, the Regalian Empire has gained a monopoly on most of its exports, and as such it is not readily available to anybody without distinct connections. The metal is very soft and malleable and comes in greyish-black tones and always bears a bright reflective sheen with it, making it flashy if used in large quantities. Because of its malleable nature, it is widely used in pipeline construction, and due to its shiny surface wealthier homes use it for roof plating to achieve a healthy, brilliant glimmer on their estate roofs. Lead is nearly impossible to purchase unless an insider of the Regalian government or a producer of pipes or roof segments. It is not that rare in black markets, however. Additionally, Lead has known to induce several gastrointestinal issues or occasionally death if inhaled or ingested.

|metal11desc = Magnetite is a somewhat rare ore sought after for its almost magical properties. While harmless in entirety, the magnetic state of Magnetite results it in attracting other metallic objects until they stick to it. Magnetite is exclusively mined in the Dorinn Republic in natural craters and is thus more commonly available in that region, yet due to international demand almost all of it is exported. While uncommon, the only place to essentially acquire it is within an industry making use of the properties for ore extraction in mining, a rather new practice, or from occasional black markets or trinket merchants. Due to how uncommon it is, most do not know much of it, and therefore it’s often used in parlor tricks or illusions for amazing an unsuspecting audience.

|metal12desc = Manacite, also known as the “Delusionist’s rock”, is an extremely rare metal found only in smaller craters within the center of Fendarfelle. The very few samples found are always very shiny and coppery, although the mineral is never refined due to it’s very hard structure; it cannot be forged or broken and is far from malleable. Deposits of the mineral were exhausted eons of years ago and as such the only ways to acquire it is completely by chance; often one-inch spherical clusters of the metal can be found dotting creeks or coastlines. No merchants or black markets trade the metal due to the unique effect is has on mentality; wearing the metal on a crude necklace or simply carrying the metal around as a trinket leads to manic depressiveness and intense hallucinations due to exposure to the metal’s lightwave reflections. While next to nothing is known about the properties of the mineral, it has been found on multiple suicide victims due to the depression associated with prolonged exposure to it. The only reason the metal isn’t illegal is due to both how rare it is but also due to how little is known about it. There has yet to be found uses for the mineral, yet its inherent disheartening properties makes it almost impossible to conduct research.

|metal13desc = Mercury is a material in [[Aloria]] recognized by the public as both an alchemical component and a poison. It has a history that spans back many hundreds of years to the [[Elven Empire]] and its uses have grown ever since then. While some might confuse it for liquid [[Silver]],it would be to their peril as Mercury is well known to be toxic as well. The material is known to occur near other metal deposits and miners should beware it when it pours from a cracked wall.

|metal14desc = Metalitra is often synonymous with the [[Dwarven]] race of [[Aloria]] as their mythology and culture claim it was the first metal ever mined in Aloria and the first metal their own race mined. Despite this high profile, various events over the years have made accessing the metal difficult to the wider world, mainly due to the slow decline of the Dwarven civilization and as [[Ellador]] grows more and more dangerous. After the [[Regalian Empire]] arrived, however, the metal’s sparkling potential was discovered, leading a once discarded mineral to be a valuable asset to the Empire. It is one of the base materials used to fire off gunpowder weaponry, made into jewelry for commoners and poorer citizens who cannot afford actual [[Gold]], as a firestarter in the wilder areas of [[Aloria]] and finally, in “Sparklers” used in street performances, plays and public celebrations. With the recent issues caused by the [[Bone Horror Crisis]] in Essalonia, some regions have been forced to ramp up production, and as such, the supply of the mineral remains constant.

A hardy and reliable metal, Nelfinite was very popular in the early years of the [[Elven Empire]] where wealthy [[Elves]] wore armor made of this metal and those more interested in the material arts wielded weapons forged from it into battle. Its beautiful appearance struck as much fear as it did admiration into the enemies of the wielder. Over time, three grades of the material emerged, but due to recent events, it is rare for [[Ailor]] to possess it. Some say it is the [[Elven]] antithesis to the Ailor [[Blacksteel]], as it resembles many of the features and the elegance of the other metal.

Although most old Regalian coins of Silver have been melted down for alternative use, a few coins are still in circulation. Silver is still being used as a jewelry metal and additionally as an ingredient for various alchemical mixtures. Today, the [[New Ceardian Colonies]] eagerly seek Silver to help fuel their own economy while others remain more cautious, the economic downturn on their childhoods still fresh in mind.

Starris often falls from the sky in meteors and must be extracted within days of falling otherwise the material becomes dull and loses the properties it’s sought after for. Starris, when extracted in time, and crafted into an object or even weapon, will result in a brilliant opaque blackish purple gemstone, with shine and reflections immeasurable to any other mineral on Aloria. It is occasionally found in a foot-long cluster within the individual meteor, but never separated into several stones. During the night when exposed to moonlight, the mineral will often emit a dull purple glow, whether it be crafted into weaponry, jewellery or anything in between. From the icy mountains of Ellador to the sandy plains of Farah’deen, Aloria offers a diverse range of metals, minerals, and precious materials that often constitute a large sector of higher class trade due to particular demands. Some rarer than others, most minerals are often used in production of crafts ranging from alchemy to jewellery and everything in between. The below list is comprehensive of Aloria’s minerals and it should be noted that if a mineral or gem is not listed below, it does not exist within lore. The below serves simply as an outline of which minerals exist, their aesthetics, their applications, and their rarity. For more information on applications of a few of the below, consult Metallurgy or their individual pages.

Metals

Includes all metal-based minerals such as base metals and alloys.

Gemstones

Includes all gemstone-related minerals, whether rare and flashy or less so.

Crystals

Includes all minerals with a crystalline structure.

Stones

Includes all stone or chalk-based rocks and organically composed minerals.
