Ranged Weapon Point Buy is part of the [[Proficiency]] System. Buying any Pack allows a Character to use all Ranged Weapons (Bows, Javelins, Slings, etc.) or Caster Weapons (Mage Staff, Wand, Spelltome, etc.) but specifically not Firearms, which have their own page. All learned Techniques can be used with any Ranged Weapon the Character has. Using Caster Weapons doesn't make the user Occult, as the Magic is stored in the weapon, not the user. Caster Weapons are not counterable by Magic or Ability-counter mechanics, and function like any other Mundane weapon.
Ranged Weapon Point Buy is part of the [[Proficiency]] System. Its Packs allow a Character to use ranged weapons, and get ranged weapon-related Techniques. Any learned Technique can be used on any weapon a Character knows how to use.

Ranged Weapons can be used without using their attached Abilities. We encourage dice rolls to resolve disputes when players can't figure out what to do next. Remember not to expect one-shots and to pace your rate of fire, but also that you have a right to punish anime melee characters for not wearing armor or bringing a shield.

====Pinning Pack====
Ranged Weapons can be shot without using an Ability. After firing, the user rolls a 1d20, and hits if the result is higher than 5. It takes one emote to load, and one emote to aim and shoot. If the Ranged user is hit by a melee attack before their final emote, they have to restart from the beginning. Ranged Weapons cannot penetrate shields.
Pinning Shot can be used to pin down a particularly slippery, or hard to deal with foe.

The Target knows they are being tracked also. This Tracking lasts for 30 minutes after the Target was hit, after which it automatically fades. Anyone the Target interacts with physically is also covered in the trailing fluid, but does not create a trail of their own. This Mundane Technique has a 1 hour Cooldown.

Instead of running, others must walk at normal walking speed, also nullifying Asha Speed. Ranged Weapon Point Buy is part of the Proficiency System. Its Packs allow a Character to use ranged weapons, and get ranged weapon-related Techniques. Any learned Technique can be used on any weapon a Character knows how to use.

Ranged weapons can be used to attack people without using their attached Abilities. We encourage dice rolls to resolve disputes when players can't figure out what to do next. Any character can use a ranged weapon with at least one purchase of these Point Buy packs, with the Dexterity stat being used to determine overall skill. If a Character has no Dexterity, they are considered incapable of using a ranged weapon effectively.
