Arcanology Point Buy is part of the Proficiency System. Its Packs grant a Character knowledge and/or membership of specific NPC groups existing in lore, each with their own functions. Some of these Packs have rules attached to them, only allowing the Player to purchase them when certain conditions are met. If a Character does not fit the Pack Rule requirement(s) and becomes Afflicted, the Pack is disabled without a Point Refund.

Heks Wisdom Pack

Pack Rules:

  • OR: The Character must be strictly Mundane
  • OR: The Character must be Primal Mage/Archon
  • OR: The Character must be Marken AND from Anglia

Heks Wisdom allows the user to be steeped in the mystical lore of the Heksen, the Anglian Witches (male and female herb doctors and Dragon mystics), and their traditions and skills.

  • With Heks Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate with Anglian Witches in Progressions, as without this Pack, the Anglian Witches will consider the user an outsider and avoid them.
  • With Heks Wisdom, a Character is able to Druidically transfer their consciousness into that of a nearby animal and move around as said animal in Progressions (but not in Regalia).
  • With Heks Wisdom, a Character (either in Regalia or in Progressions) will no longer be attacked by wild animals, even predators like bears, but will still be attacked by massive beasts or horrors.
  • With Heks Wisdom, a Character is able to purchase packs from Mythic Point Buy with their Proficiency. If they do so, they become a Dragon Occult.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows them to Ping a signal to select Archons to call for their aid on their location (must be sent by Server DM).
  • If the Character is a Marken and from Anglia, the Heksen have supplied them with suppressants that help them control when and where they awake, but they aren't allowed to share them on price of being cut off.

Nerr Wisdom Pack

Pack Rules:

  • OR: The Character must be strictly Mundane
  • OR: The Character must be Ordial Mage/Geist

Nerr Wisdom allows the user to be steeped in the mystical lore of the Nerrgâshi, the Eronidas Shaman, or the Baskarr Death-Faces, the Asha death-cultists.

  • With Nerr Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate with devoted Eronidas shamans/Asha death-priests in progressions, as without this Pack, the Nerrgâshi will consider the user an outsider and avoid them.
  • With Nerr Wisdom, a Character will not be attacked by ancestral Undead who are not mindless in Progressions (but not in Regalia).
  • With Nerr Wisdom, a Character can either sleep and dream or trance themselves into visions of their ancestors from the past, though cannot discern any crucial or deep lore information this way.
  • With Nerr Wisdom, a Character is able to purchase packs from Mystic Point Buy with their Proficiency. If they do so, they become an Ordial Occult.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows them to Ping a signal to select Geists to call for their aid on their location (must be sent by Server DM).

Hôterie Wisdom Pack

Pack Rules:

  • OR: The Character must be strictly Mundane
  • OR: The Character is a Mage AND Ithanian Ailor
  • OR: The Character is a Mage AND Ithanian Teledden

Hôterie Wisdom allows the user to be steeped in the mystical lore of the t'Hôterie Circle, Ithanian seducers and courtesans, using their intimate skills to their advantage.

  • With Hôterie Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate and request the aid of Les Hôtes of Ithania in Progressions, as without this Pack, the user will be ignored by them.
  • With Hôterie Wisdom, a Character is able to seduce a Mundane NPC In Progressions (provided compatible sexualities) and commit them to reasonable actions in Progressions.
  • With Hôterie Wisdom, a Character can transfer light feelings of affection to a Target person. The person can however just shake that feeling away, and it is not as powerful as Slizzar Influence.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows the user to disguise themselves perfectly and voice modulate to a different though same sex and race appearance.

Amontaar Wisdom Pack

Pack Rules:

  • OR: The Character is an Allorn Revanchist, believing the Allorn Empire has the right to retake Daen, Lusits and Ithania.
  • OR: The Character has 7 Points invested in the Charisma Proficiency Stat without any Buffs or Point increases.

Amontaar Wisdom allows the user to be knowledgeable and aware of the political and diplomatic intrigue of Amontaar, the diplomacy frontline of geo-politics in the world.

  • With Amontaar Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate and request information from the Allorn Lunässul Society in the Allorn Empire, within reason (they won't divulge deep state secrets).
  • With Amontaar Wisdom, a Character will never be accosted or interfered with by Secret Service members of the Regalian or Allorn Empires unless they engage in express anti-actions towards either.
  • With Amontaar Wisdom, a Character can discern the original Race of anyone who was Race changed through some Ability, Mechanic, or greater power or entity or god (but never Disguise).
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Charisma, this Pack allows the user to request entry in Progressions to otherwise closed-off states (some additional limitations may apply based on the request and what state is asked for).

Bentyia Wisdom Pack

Pack Rules:

  • OR: The Character is a Songaskian (even Afflicted).
  • OR: The Character is a traitor Qadir who works with the Masaya against the Qadir.
  • OR: The Character is a Life or Death Isldar.

Bentyia Wisdom allows the user to be steeped in the mystical lore of the Bentyia College, or Songaskian College of Priests.

  • With Bentyia Wisdom, a Character is able to communicate and request information from the Bentyia College in the Songaskian Masaya, within reason (they won't divulge deep state secrets).
  • With Bentyia Wisdom, a Character is able to freely move around the Farah'deen Deserts and the Colleges of the organization in the major Songaskian Pearl Cities.
  • With Bentyia Wisdom, a Character can detect mass death in an area, and roughly detect the presence of corpses while in Progression areas or Event Tombs and Dungeons and the like.
  • If the Character has invested at least 4 Proficiency Points in Wisdom, this Pack allows the user to wield an Ordial Lantern which radiates an extremely uncomfortable effect to Emote Distance Undead.
