Solangeria is a wild and untamed continent with equally wild and violent inhabitants. The continent is roughly the size of Old Ceardia and attached by a waterway to [[ Sendras]]. The lands are inhabited by the [[ Solang]], as well as various dangerous animals such as the [[Temple Orphan]] siren and various other predators. Despite the dangers of the continent, many would-be explorers venture deep into the jungles to search for the lost hidden treasures of the third civilization, these being massive ruined cities that are spread all over the continent.

The lands of Solangeria are relatively flat, though completely covered in a very thick brewing hot swampy rain forest. In many cases there is no solid ground at all, simply muddy and murky water with all kinds of nasty insects floating about. The continent suffers very temperamental weather where a sunny day can turn into a thunderstorm within a matter of minutes. The forest itself is shielded from most of the wind, but above the canopy strong winds make bird flight almost impossible on the continent. Solangeria is also one of the few if not only continent where water hoses and tornado’s naturally occur, though for some reason these never touch ground or destroy any of the ruins. The ruins on Solangeria are presumed to be [[ Third Civilization]] in origin, as they are referenced to in both the remaining Meraic and [[Elven History|Elven historical records]]. The buildings, while massive, are completely intertwined with the forest. Roots crawl all over the openings and often trees have simply torn apart roofs to make place for more vegetation. The stone is so badly corroded that even the slightest disturbance can cause entire buildings to collapse, yet this somehow never happens despite the windy conditions.

* '''The Wind Lady:''' The Wind Lady is a massive statue, almost the height of the Regalian Cathedral somewhere deep in the forest. It is rumored to be positioned in a massive hole with various dwellings carved out of the walls where Solangerian Qadir now live. The statue itself is missing itss head and neck, yet the body is unmistakably female and has four arms in total, all holding various objects that have weathered to such an extent that one can only guess what they once were. The vast majority of the tornadoes formed on Solangeria are often formed near the Wind Lady, yet no-one knows why. The Solangerians often prevent anyone from coming close to the structure as they worship it, so only vague sketches remain from one expedition lucky enough to come close and live to tell the tale.
* '''The Azure Wall:''' A mysterious wall laid in with azure tiles stretches in roughly a straight line for almost three miles. The wall abruptly ends in a small lake and seems to have been unfinished from where it started. Occasionally a wall tower dots the length of it, but the most remarkable aspect about it is that the tiles are almost free of age deterioration, yet the masonry beneath it is crumbling. When hit with an object however, the Azure tiles quickly crumble. These azure tiles from the wall are the number one smuggled export of Solangeria for explorers who reach the wall. The wall also serves as a central waypoint as it is conveniently located between the Dragonbone Coast and the Wind Lady.

* '''The Dragonbone Coast:''' The Dragonbone Coast is a massive coastal graveyard of [[ dragon]] bones. Most of the bones are massive and half lodged into the ground, though they appear much older and larger than the bones left behind by for example black or red desert dragons. In fact the bones are so old they have mostly turned to stone and lost any sort of value to anyone. Additionally, the Solangerians defend the Dragonbone Coast like some holy sanctuary with their lives.
Solangeria was traditionally always considered part of Sendras, but exploration in the past 100 years have concluded that it is in fact separated, but only by a small waterway. Further contact with the Mu-Allar and [[Allar]] has uncovered the fact that they speak of the “Dark Continent”, which is somewhat ironic considering everyone views their homeland of Sendras as the true Dark Continent. Solangeria has been avoided by ships for as long as anyone can remember, the natives too unruly and violent to consider worthy trade partners and the continent itself too inhospitable to consider colonization. As such, the continent has always occupied a blank page in history, nothing came or went there and nothing happened there, at least this is what the scholars have always believed. The continent itself has a rich history spanning back thousands of years, though millennia past its zenith. The ruins hint at lost glory and an ancient Empire to rival the splendor of the Elves when their [[ Elven Empire|Empire]] was still intact. Nearly all historical accounts or any sort of written information is lost because the stone has weathered so much, and only half the actual stonework is left.

Solangerian Qadir living on Solangeria are known to be tribal, aggressive, and mistrusting of outsiders. Their culture is uniquely their own and very different from the [[ Farahdeen]] [[ Qadir]], but not much is known besides their frequent use of tattoo designs to decorate their skin and their often utter lack of clothing, besides a loincloth. The Solangerians seem to survive on a diet of insects and smaller predators mostly, while revering the natural landmarks of their continent and attacking anyone that dares to come close. Any combat with the Solangeria Qadir should always be avoided as they are versed in combat between the thick trees of Solangeria, while an outsider will quickly find themselves bogged down in the thick swampy water.

generally assumed there is no trade or economy on Solangeria as the continent is quite literally a black hole in the mercantile network of Aloria. Even Sendras generates some trade profits for rarer jungle materials, though the Solangerians refuse any and all contact and the continent itself seems to utterly lack any sort of resource worth harvesting. The sole exception of produce that comes out of Solangeria are the Azure tiles from the Great Azure Wall, often collected by explorers and then sold as rare antiquities.
The forests of Solangeria have often driven explorers mad. Between the Temple Orphans’ cries and the various plants creating hallucinogenic fumes, most explorers actually die from wandering out of the group or camp and just being eaten as opposed to being killed by Solangerians.

Solangeria ranks alongside the Northern Expanse and a few other regions as one of the most mysterious Alorian continents. It has been known to exist for millennia and is thought to contain the only ruins of the Third Civilization, yet is inaccessible to all outside of its borders thanks to freak weather patterns and many deadly, terrifying beasts. Only one expedition has accurate, surviving records of their encounters and interactions with these ruins and these beasts, but sadly for Regalian scholars, they lay in the hands of the Songaskia. It is unlikely this will change anytime soon and it is even more unlikely a Regalian expedition could ever come close to replicating these findings, for Solangeria is not a kind land to outsiders.
While Solangeria’s history is surprisingly short, it is not for the world’s lack of awareness of its existence. The continent was identified very early into the timeline of the Qadir on nearby Farah’deen, and frequent attempts were made to explore it. However, what was found horrified and terrified landing parties, sending them scrambling back to the shoreline in desperate attempts to escape the jungle continent. When the Altalar learned of Solangeria, they scoffed at the weakness of the Qadir and sought to breach the land on no more than 20 separate occasions. From what few stragglers returned from these parties, the Nelfin also learned of the horrors held just beyond the pleasant jungle brush. These horrors came in the form of a variety of bizarre, uniquely adapted and terrifying predators such as the Temple Orphan which lurked inland, preying upon each other and any unprepared pickings inside their domain. Following the Great Storm, the Songaskians sought to conquer a danger their enemy the Qadir had failed at taming. They used their fire spells to carve deep into the jungles of Solangeria and likely got further than any other, right to the mysterious ruins at the center of the landmass before they were attacked. The documents on the expedition, which are public, are vague, and focus more on what was seen before the attack. Regardless, the Songaskians retreated in fear and avoided the continent thereafter. In 198 AC, some from the Regalian Empire also sought to breach this landscape but similarly failed. With the advent of the third century after the Cataclysm, none have gotten close enough to unravel the mysteries of Solangeria, and its jungles continue to resist further probing to this day.
Solangeria is part of Sendrass and can be found east of Sendras, west of Farah’deen, and southeast of Oldt Era. It sits in the South Passage Way Ocean, which lies between Farah’deen and Sendras. The continent’s geography is seemingly an exact copy of Sendras. Thick jungle trees, large-leaved plants and bundles of vines cover the vast majority of the continent while slow-moving rivers carry water from the singular mountain range found at the center of Solangeria outward to the coastline. The coastline itself is deceivingly picturesque, with wide sandy beaches and a pleasant breeze. However, this hides strange and volatile weather patterns which can seemingly explode onto the large island. A bright sunny day can unravel into a thunderstorm in a matter of hours while tornadoes suddenly striking down in the jungle have been seen from observing ships, some of them even turning into waterspouts when they hit the coastal waters, and rush across the sea waves. Also to be found are the local ruins. Similar to Sendras with its ruins of old Allar civilizations, the jungle on Solangeria has swallowed up much of the mysterious ruins found on the island. Cautiously described as belonging to the mysterious Third Civilization, their features are relatively unknown as time has washed away many of their structures. A series of interesting ruins near the island’s center has generated the most interest over the past two centuries.
Solangerian flora is almost identical to Sendras; the only difference is that the jungle trees of Solangeria seem to have extremely long roots, sometimes even connecting to one another, and some believe this is a mechanism to avoid being ripped from the ground by the occasional tornados. When these funnels of air hit the jungle, the swathe they carve is minimized because of this. Still, fallen trees are as common a sight as upright trees.
Solangeria is infamous for holding a variety of horrifying beasts, some known to be of fact while others are myths told to terrify listeners around campfires. The most well known is the Temple Orphan, a disturbing creature with long limbs and a hideous face which can somehow make sounds like a crying baby. It is not known how or why it has this ability, as there are supposedly no sentient Races on Solangeria it could have learned the sound from, and there were no babies or infants recorded to be part of the many expeditions sent to the continent. Aside from this and the other horrors, there seems to be a gentler, perhaps unseen side to Solangeria’s fauna as characterized by the Orantrang. This species of primate is known for its calm demeanor and for its fur that often builds up minor vegetation to give it a greenish tint. As the animal has only been observed a handful of times, some wonder if the Orantrang is even targeted by predators given their slow actions and gentle nature, which would have likely made them extinct long ago if they were part of a conventional food chain. Their existence has led some to postulate, disturbingly, that the predators of Solangeria only hunt each other and leave “easy” prey alone.
The Wind Lady
The Wind Lady is a massive statue, almost the height of the Regalian Arch-Temples, which stands at the foot of the Solangeria Mountain Chain. Only vague sketches remain from the Songaskian expedition members lucky enough to come close to it and live to tell the tale. It is positioned in a massive sinkhole. Some believe this is on purpose, while others do not, stating natural erosion caused the formation to sink the statue. Along with this, various passages and holes exist in the walls of the sinkhole. Many are natural, with others made as burrows by an unidentified group of local wildlife. The floor of the sinkhole holds an underground body of water often estimated to be a river, but there has been no close examination of this place. The statue inside of the hole is a curious one, as time has not been kind to it. While certainly a female figure, its head and neck have fallen off. It is not Human as evidenced by its four arms, two raised slightly above the hipline while two hang below or at the hips. Each hand is supposedly meant to hold something, but three hands are missing and the fourth contains a now-featureless sphere, its details long worn away. The Wind Lady is named as such because the majority of tornadoes and storms on the island start around this location for unknown reasons.
The Dragonbone Coast
The Dragonbone Coast is a fascinating location. Found on Solangeria’s east coast, this stretch of two miles of beach is littered with massive, stone-grey bone formations. Many are curved and appear to be part of a rib cage, with a skull not yet discovered. The sand around the area is also strange, strewn with lines of black and red sand in addition to the pale yellow that naturally occurs. The Songaskians state those are the remains of Desert Dragons, but their enormous size and state of fossilization has led to many doubts. Some claim they are not even Dragon remains, but merely remnants of some dead, ancient sea beast which washed ashore and remained there, slowly decomposing and baking away over centuries into mere bones. Others believe they are the remains of a particularly large Giant who drowned and whose remains now lay on the beach. Regardless of origin, the site is sadly useless to most radical organizations who study Dragons and their abilities, as the bones appear to lack any magical qualities. To true believers, however, the site is still an ideal place to visit to see these expansive remains.
The Azure Wall
The Azure Wall is located at the halfway point between the Dragonbone Coast and the Wind Lady. It is a short wall, a mere three miles long, with no obvious support columns but with small guard posts marked on the wall by wall-less cubes of stone and tile. In fact, the Wall is most known for these tiles which are a deep shade of blue and supposedly covered in peculiar symbols, imagery, and animals. The tiles adorn every surface on the Wall and are surprisingly intact, supposedly hiding the ravages of time that have made the wall quite unstable. The Wall abruptly ends at a small lake on its north-facing edge while its south-facing edge stops in a hard 90-degree line. Most currently believe the Azure Wall has been knocked down over centuries of tornadoes which have possibly flung the stonework and tiles in their path every which way. Additionally, only four tiles are known to not be on Solangeria, all in possession of the Songaskian Masaya. While no Regalians have directly seen them, they supposedly show a bird, a mammal, a seated being with writing and, finally, a crude landscape. Further records held by the state might reveal more recorded images from the Wall, seen by the original expedition but not plucked off of the crumbling surface.
- Allar mythology speaks of a dark continent beyond their homeland’s shoreline. Some theorize this could be Solangeria, though most point to Daen as being far closer to the region the Allar populated and the location from which Altalar slavers came, abducting hundreds away to live lives of sorrow.
- Some believe the many creatures on Solangeria are just escaped, damaged guard animals kept by the Third Civilization, still carrying out a mindless, engrained directive to protect the now empty ruins.
- Recent events in the Regalian Archipelago have revealed information on the Third Civilization, though the chaos of that discovery is still being sorted through, and has yet to be properly absorbed by most academics.
- Persistent rumors have suggested there are people living on Solangeria, but who they are remains unclear. Others contend the mainly coastal sightings might be misidentified native fauna.
