Val Ilavai, Brightlord Lance, is the spear of the Avatars of Ulley from the height of the Allorn Empire. It served as their primary weapon across millennia of war against the Void Arken, most of all Pride, in combat with whom scores of Avatars perished. As the personal weapon of the most senior god in the Allorn Pantheon, it achieved renown not only as a legendary Artifact imbued with some of his Magic, but also as a symbol of the Allorn resistance against their Empire's moral decay. After a particular line of the Avatars of Ulley ended and Ilavai was left at their grave next to their armor, it was recovered by the Allorn Empress' personal guard and wielded by the eldest surviving member as a prestige object. With the Empire's collapse during Cataclysm, Ilavai was spirited away to Solleria before Demonic forces could destroy it, where it eventually appeared inside an Aelrrigan Mage-Vault.

==Origins==
As an ancient Allorn weapon, the origins of Ilavai are buried under thousands of years of history. That said, it is known that the Imperial Smith of the Second Circle, Tallas Varaan, originally created it as a Mundane object and a gift to the reigning Prince of Ilha Faial. After several centuries in his service, his son passed it down to a loyal retainer who would eventually be selected as the next Avatar of Ulley, beginning its long tradition as the Avatars' weapon, which in turn granted it its current Magical properties.

==Appearance==
Ilavai is an Allorn greatspear, several meters long. It is clear that it was originally meant for use by an individual of above-average size. However, smaller wielders are able to maneuver it without issue, as long as they treat it more like a lance. The haft is Allu'torne, a waxed Allorn wood in desaturated dulcet brown tones that reflects the light pleasingly, while the blade itself is a mysterious alloy of Nightsilver and Loon-Solay. Defying proper material identification, it glows in both sun and moonlight, giving off a keen, icy sparkle.

==Artifact Abilities and Specials==
===Abilities===

| Grants the user {{#simple-tooltip: Giant's Leap | Broederliefde is always able to detect when Sangria is being wielded in battle by its owner, starting to gently humm while not within Emote Distance of Sangria. The wielder may, when the blade starts humming (an indicator of Sangria’s owner being engaged in battle) use it to make a massive leap into the sky, seconds after which they come down and land within Emote Distance of Sangria’s Wielder. This Ability is effectively a Leap towards Sangria’s wielder from a massive distance. The Leap cannot be used to inflict damage, either on others or the wielder. It can be Countered by anti-Leap or anti-Blink Abilities however. Sangria's wielder may OOC notify the wielder of Broederliefde about being under attack.

| Grants the user {{#simple-tooltip: Hold thy Love | Any time Sangria's wielder uses Hallowed Ground, the healing affect also applies to Broederliefde's wielder. If the healing effect is cancelled on Sangria's wielder, it is also Cancelled and reverted on Broederliefde's wielder, but if it is not Cancelled on Sangria's wielder, it will simply apply to Broederliefde's wielder even if they are mid-combat. This means that Broederliefde's wielder has any wounds applied to them healed for a total of 3 minutes while still being able to engage in combat.
| Grants the user {{#simple-tooltip: Weapon Brand | The user can empower any Ranged or Melee weapon they are holding, strengthening its durability for 60 Minutes. While empowered, the chosen weapon is as strong as steel, and is immune to Abilities and Techniques that degrade or destroy materials. This Ability has a 60 Minute Cooldown.

===Specials===
* '''Artifact Durability:''' Artifacts are immune to Physical or Magical damage, meaning the item can never be destroyed, degraded, aged, de-aged, corroded, corrupted, or damaged and blunted. Greater entities such as deities however can damage Artifacts. Additionally, the user is also immune to any Abilities or Mechanics that would disarm them.
* '''Broederliefde's Reputation:''' Broederliefde is one of the most historically important weapons for House Kade. Anyone who is the wielder of Broederliefde unlocks more favorable responses and potential responses that would not normally be available from House Kade and Kade Loyalists (even the Imperial Princes but not the Emperor) across the Regalian Empire.
* '''Broederliefde Shape:''' Sangria can impart visual changes to the user, either while using its abilities, while just wielding it, or passively. Such aesthetics are including but not limited to: purple lines on the body, purple glowing eyes, a purple halo behind the head, purple glowing hands, purple illuminating aura, echoing voice. For more, inquire with Lore Staff.
