The Curates are the lowest level of the Unionist Divine’s authority. Curates are the priests who lead local congregations, such as communities surrounding abbeys and churches of Unionism. The Curates of the Unionist Divine have no authority, largely because their properties are on the lands of the Local Rulers. Their land is not truly their own; instead, they simply receive these lands as a gift from the Local Rulers to found their holy lands upon, from which they dispense their Unionist service to the local population. The Curates have a lot of local influence over the minds of the citizenry and the peasants, so when a Warmoot is called the Curates show up and weigh in as well, regardless of whether they actually have any authority to do so. The Curates can often make or break a conflict by denouncing or praising it and, as such, everyone lets them participate even when they should not.
