Through Lux, mortals can revive Gods usually at the exchange of highly valuable resources. Only specific Gods mentioned on this page are reviveable, and not all Gods are guaranteed to become Gods for any particular Religion or spawn whole new Religions. It is in fact more likely that such a God will become a rogue entity and continue working towards the goals it already had before death, which many of their worshipers consider a benefit, while they also remain contactable through Divinium Summonings. This whole process remains for now experimental, so the exact numbers on the required resources may be increased or altered in the future. We want players to feel like this is a medium to long-term goal, rather than something that can be completed within a month. There should be hundreds of roleplay hours extracted from the simple process of gathering the necessary costs. Note, even Characters who have already converted to a different Religion might still be motivated to revive a God from a Religion they no longer worship. It is possible for Characters to have secular relations with Gods that form through customs and culture and heritage, rather than actual worship. There is generally no reason not to engage in these revival plots, unless your Character has a specific problem with the God that is being revived, in which case you can still try to sabotage their efforts by getting in the way of them capturing the resources required.

There is no such thing as a true immortal in Aloria, due to the Elderlaws of entropy and time. Gods may live for tens if not hundreds of thousands of years, but their vitality is directly tied to their worshipers praising their name, and they can also be killed by other God-like entities. Aloria's history is littered with dead and forgotten Gods, or Gods like the Eldertide who barely hold onto existence in the immaterial of the minds of mortals. This page will discuss a select few Dead Gods, from the specific point of view that Players can engage in content hunting to revive them one way or another.

Primeval Lux

There exists an unknowable entity that mortals have come to call Lux, a celestial object that is always visible to the naked eye in the night sky as one of the brightest stars. In all of recorded history, as far back as the Seraph Era, Lux's presence has been recorded, with wild theories ranging from Lux being the true arch-Primeval, to it just being a Demon caught beyond the Terrasphere. Whatever the true origin and purpose of Lux, it has had several enigmatic interactions with mortals of Aloria who have gazed up at it through a telescope, barely making out the faintest of humanoid features yet remaining distinctly alien and unmoving throughout the entirety of time.

Lux hungers for the bounties of Aloria, and while life cannot tolerate the void beyond the Terrasphere, it has consumed the essences of Artifactsparks and Divinium in the past, and spoken intuitively in the minds of mortals who shortly after went mad, but had enough time to repeat its will. The trade was always simple: "Feed the brightest star in the sky, and I will return to you what time and violence has stolen from your faith". Indeed, Lux is recorded to have revived several Gods throughout history, as proven by both Allorn and even Meraic records, which took note of Lux's interactions with the minorities that resided within their empires. Many Scholars regard Lux as a potentially benign parasite, though its ability to revive Gods on Aloria is certainly concerning and yet irresistible.

Morxxeron, Star Warden of the Drovv

Morxxeron is the dead Drovv God of a now also dead Religion, though his wife Marxxarana is still alive as the Goddess Melca of the Estelley Religion. Morxxeron and Marxxarana were a duo-God Religion of the Drov people, the moon and the sun Gods respectively. Morxxeron was the God-King of the people who led the Drovv in their martial culture and pursuit of true Championhood, while Marxxarana acted as the guiding mother and caretaker of their souls. Morxxeron was the first and only God killed by the last Void Invasion when he tried to hold the first breach with his people who all perished as well.

Pahtia, Dreaming Goddess of Art

Pahtia was the Goddess of art and by extension of Culture for the Khama faith. Pahtia is the most tragic of the Khama Gods because she was very explicitly killed by the Elven Gods during the Dewamenet war, causing the events that ended that war, and all that happened after. Her death is seen as such a strong focal point of Khama history, that it has started to define all Khama and Asha art, with depictions of mortuary cults and death rites. She was murdered with a weapon provided by the Death Gods, that afterward was lost to time. Her return could potentially heal Elven-Asha hatred and hostility between the Gods.

Livia, the Marigold Dragon

The Marigold Dragon also known as Livia, died in mysterious circumstances many dozens of centuries ago. She left behind only the Aerun Dragonfall Dragonkin, a rare breed of Dragonkin who are nonetheless just as unknowing about what happened to her. Due to her longtime disappearance and the lack of action from the Dragons to revive her or seek her out, many speculate that the Dragons themselves are cursed not to remember, or with inability to act. Some speculate Time Magic, and others suspect Death Magic. Whatever the circumstances, reviving a Dragon might have longterm unforeseen consequences in Aloria as a whole.

Gaisros, the Forest Father

Gaisros is the lost Forest Father God of the Sarnan people, from the Sarnan Faith. He was a monotheistic paternal God who both protected and provided for the Sarnan before their colonization by Regalia. The Sarnan people were ardent purists who held the line against Vampirism before the Empire could but were betrayed from within and suffered defeat and subsequent colonization. Somewhere along these events, Gaisros was tricked and killed by Inth who wished to consume his ancient knowledge. As a result, Sarnan culture evaporated over the centuries, until even Gaisros himself was largely forgotten.
