The exact year the Springshroud was woven, and by whom, is dubious; however, the origins of this holy cape are not so shrouded in conspiracy. The Spingshroud’s flowers all come from the Garden of Forgiveness, a massive flower garden that once existed in front of the Temple of Salvation before the temple’s untimely destruction at the hands of ruin. The flower garden was destroyed around one-hundred years ago, and is said to have been the spot Ness ascended into godhood after forgiving the killers of her children. While this enchanted flower garden no longer stands, its legacy continues in the Springshroud, and in other artifacts similar to it.

Appearance
The Springshroud is a wide cape made of pink roses and white carnations whose fragrance and beauty go unmatched. The flowers are still living, with their stems and leaves forming the inside of the cape, and their ever-blooming flowers forming its exterior. Despite being made of woven and living plant matter, it’s lightweight and a comfortable fit for those blessed to wear it. The Springshroud doesn’t wilt or die, as its life is preserved by unionist blessings, even in harsh environments unbefitting delicate flowers. Should any flowers be pulled or cut from the cape, they will die at the same rate any cut flower would typically wilt at, and the Springshroud will regrow any flowers it has lost.
Artifact Custom Kit
The Springshroud is a Primal (Unionist God Magic) Artifact. As an artifact, there are several rules associated with Artifact Ownership, see Artifact Page. It also provides the following Specials:
- Bonded Clothing: This artifact is bound to Casimir di Epostella and cannot be destroyed or damaged in any manner, and cannot be removed from Casimir without his explicit consent (or the player’s OOC consent).
- Ness’s Protection: This flowery cape is near-impenetrable, and can act as armor, keeping in mind one can only have one armor token, and armor does not stack. Additionally, the wearer always smells pleasant, like a flower garden. The Springshroud sheds petals passively as one moves and billows on its own accord. The wearer may choose to have butterflies, bees, and other pollinating insects following them / existing around them, attracted to the fragrance of the flowers. Lastly, the owner of the Springshroud may choose to replant a few of the flowers from their cape, these planted flowers are remarkably hardy, but are not magic.
