The Aegisan Ring has a very uncertain providence, wrapped in mystery and history of the past long ago redacted or suppressed. However, it is commonly held to have been one of the many Unionist-associated objects worn by Arch Chancellor Alexander the Giant to match the invulnerability of Emperor Allestrain I. However, it does not seem to be of Ailor, or even Elven make, and where it exactly originated from has been lost, much as the Artifact was until recent years. This is a Knight Artifact, obtained as a gift from the rank-up process.

Appearance
The Aegisan Ring is of a curious design, seemingly formed of one long golden filament allowed to wind in a circle, and overlap with itself several times before fusing together. There is thus an elegant yet uneven pattern along the ring’s sides. The design ends in a vertical stamp, featuring a Unionist-like eye, but there is a space next to it studded by three pale red gemstones.
Artifact Custom Kit
The Aegisan Ring is a Primal (Unionist God Magic) Artifact. As an Artifact, there are several rules associated with Artifact Ownership, see Artifact Page. It also provides the following Specials:
- Bonded Jewelry: This artifact is bound to Emrys Coslett and cannot be destroyed or damaged in any manner, and cannot be removed from Emrys without his explicit consent (or the player’s OOC consent).
- Aegis Protection: This golden ring can serve as a layer of armor, keeping in mind one can only have one armor token, and armor does not stack. The form the protection takes is a gleaming shell projection that bursts from the earth, and wraps around the wielder, covering their existing armor, or clothing in an insect-like image, with aesthetic wings beating behind them or laying flat. The wearer may additionally find that the ring puts them in great favor with the Narim, while normal insects and arachnids of all sorts will avoid them and their place of dwelling.
