===Blessings of the Chastised [Sorcery Spell]===
The Blessings of the Chastised is more a Constant Passive than an actual Sorcery Spell, though the second mechanic still requires the Sorcery Spell to be cast. Primarily, having this Sorcery Spell causes the Archan to suffer physical pain when physically touched by any Lingering Aberrant and up that the Archan is aware is an Aberrant. This pain is experienced like a nettle burn, not excruciating, but very unpleasant. On the flipside however, any chain, rope or other restraint placed on a Lingering Aberrant and up becomes golden glowing, and causes this same pain to them when applied to them. Additionally, chains and restraints applied by an Archan using this Union Blessing cannot be removed except by the Archan, for up to 30 minutes. The only other exception to this is that Mages are able to remove one through the use of their Mage Ward breaking Ability, though if this Ability is applied to a Mage themselves, they will be unable to break it due to the stinging pain, and must require another Mage to do it for them.

Union Blessings

Magic Schools
Origins Ailor

Union Blessings are not traditionally seen as a Sorcery School, and also don't operate like a Sorcery School at all. All Sorcery Schools are either Void or Exist natured, while Union Blessings are a form of Primal Sorcery, thus not resulting in any level of Aberrancy. Union Blessings also have very unique rules that limit its usage and availability. Union Blessings have been with the Ailor Race since the very founding of the Unionist Church in the Regalian Empire. These Blessings were bestowed on the Ailor of the Archan Lineage when it became closely tied to the Unionist Faith, developed under the guidance of the Reverends and other holy scriptures.

Sorcery Rules

  • Union Blessings has different rules outlined below.
  • Union Blessings are only available to characters with the Race Ailor, of the Lineage Archan.
  • Union Blessings are a form of Primal Sorcery, thus does not label a Character an Aberrant.
  • Union Blessings cost 4 Proficiency Points each to buy on a character.
  • Union Blessings may only be chosen up to 5 unique Blessings. Call of the Union comes free for all Ailor who have the Archan Lineage.
  • Union Blessings do not have Mage-Acolyte mechanics and do not fit any Magic Category.
  • Union Blessings are immune to Magestone, Purestone, or any other such disruption mechanics.
  • Archan who use Union Blessings are immune to Puretek weaponry designed to affect Aberrants.
  • Despite not being traditional Sorcery, all Union Blessings Abilities are still categorized as Sorcery Spells for the sake of consistency and counter-play, and any Sorcery counter also works against them unless specified otherwise.

Union Blessings Abilities

Call of the Union [Constant Passive]

  • Archan Ailor can inscribe, engrave, tattoo, write, speak and draw the Sanktist holy scripture on any surface. This scripture will start to glow with a golden glow when within Emote Distance of an Archan using any Blessings, or on command from any Archan.
  • Archan Ailor can cause an Eye of Union to appear behind their head on a vertical axis that shines with a golden glow, illuminating their head from behind. This can be turned on and off at will.
  • Archan Ailor can cast an Orb of Light at the tip of their weapon, a stave or a wand, which will illuminate the direct area of 5 blocks around them. This will not work against Ability based Darkness, and lasts only for up to 30 minutes, but can be cast an infinite amount of times.
  • Archan Ailor are immune to Vampirism, Werebeastism, upon dying do not become Undead or Archblood, cannot become Dragon Warriors, cannot use or wield Artifacts besides Unionist Artifacts and cannot learn any other Sorcery or Ritualism Proficiency Category Abilities or become any other form of Aberrancy.

Blessings of the Protector [Sorcery Spell]

The Blessings of the Protector allows the Archan to strike a Unionist hand gesture in front of their chest, causing a golden glow to radiate out from their hand to cover their body while they speak the Blessings of the Protector incantation. After placing this ward, the Archan is protected from the first single Ability used against them, not including Channel-based Abilities. This Ability can only be used once every 10 minutes, and can only be used on the Archan themselves, or other Archan (even if they do not have this Ability).

Blessings of the Avenger [Sorcery Spell]

The Blessings of the Avenger allows the Archan to declare the accusing incantation, and point their index and middle finger straight at a person in a hand gesture. This causes a holy light to burst from their fingertips in the direction of the target, causing a Holy light blast on the target. Damage of this light blast is proportional to how badly wounded the caster is. If the caster is in perfect health and has taken barely a few scratches and bruises, the target is knocked off their feet, but can recover quickly. If the caster has been stabbed and sliced a couple of times and is bleeding, the blast will not only knock the person off their feet, but also suffer intense burning pain all over their body for a short period of time. Finally, if the caster is near-death or near-collapse, the ability causes an instant-knock out effect on the target that causes them to fall unconscious. There is one caveat to this ability: The damage inflicted on the caster must be inflicted by the target. If the caster uses this ability on a random passer-by while another person inflicted the damage on them, then this Ability will do the equivalent of the caster being in perfect health on the passer-by. This Ability can only be used once a day.

Blessings of the Bulwark [Sorcery Spell]

The Blessings of the Bulwark allows the Archan to raise their weapon to the sky, causing an instant shockwave of holy light to emanate from them up to Emote Distance in range. Anyone caught in this Emote Distance range who was actively Channeling any Ability that requires a Channel will have their Channel interrupted and stopped (though they can re-start it afterwards). This Ability can only be used once every 5 minutes.

Blessings of the Lady [Sorcery Spell]

The Blessings of the Lady allows the Archan to bring forth their prayer beads, kneel into a kneeling position and raise their prayer beads up above their head while reciting the prayer of the Lady. While reciting this prayer, a small dome shield is formed around them that makes them completely immune to physical and non-mundane Ability based attacks. The only thing that still affects the Archan inside the Lady's Shield is Target Illusions. Everything and anything simply bounces off the holy shield. That being said, the Archan must close their eyes and bend their face to the ground, thus becoming situation-ally unaware of what is happening around them. They can maintain this defensive shield indefinitely as long as they can keep reciting the prayer, but it is so small that only they and their armor and weapon(s) will fit inside the shield, it will reject anyone else trying to be inside of or enter the shield. Looking up, stopping the recitation of the prayer, or standing up all interrupt the Ability. This Ability cannot be Countered in any way.

Blessings of the Lord [Sorcery Spell]

This Ability can only be used when wielding a shield of any size. Blessings of the Lord allows an Archan to use a shield to cause a radiating blast to emanate from the shield towards whatever the shield is aimed at. If the shield is aimed at a person or group of people, the blast reaches up to 6 blocks away in a 5 block wide funnel, that knocks all those within that range off their feet. If aimed at an object or group of objects, it will propel them forward at non-lethal speeds. If aimed at a regular Regalian Housing door or inner estate door (thus not the front door), it will eject the door off the hinges and sear the door portal, while also producing a very loud bang. This Ability can only be used once every 15 minutes, though using it on a door does not put it on cooldown. For each door ejected however, one traditional piece of evidence is left behind according to the Burglary rules for the Criminal Proficiencies.

Blessings of the Revered [Sorcery Spell]

Blessings of the Revered allows the Archan, coupled with some incense and holy texts, to exorcise any form of Possession that requires an Exorcism mechanic to be removed. This takes roughly 10 minutes and is excruciatingly unpleasant for the target, which must also be restrained and immobilized somehow. Having the target move from their location once commenced will halt the Exorcism requiring it to start over from the beginning. If the Archan is moved, this Ability is also interrupted.

Blessings of the Waywatcher [Sorcery Spell]

Blessings of the Waywatcher allows the Archan to draw the Unionist hand gesture in front of their chest, followed by a hand "stop" gesture aimed towards any person. This gesture will cause a funnel of radiant light to eject from the hand towards their target (which can only be a single person). Once hit, this person can only move at a crawling pace (as if pushing up against strong gale winds) when moving towards the caster, though they can still move at normal speeds in any other direction. Similarly however, the Archan caster is also slowed down, but to a walking pace instead of a crawling pace, and they must hold their arm up in the direction of the person to keep the funnel going. Lowering the arm, or redirecting the funnel will instantly cancel it, as it cannot be switched from one person to another without re-casting the Ability. There is no cooldown or limit to this Ability's usage, but it functions like a Mobile Channel Ability as well as a Sorcery Spell

Blessings of the Chastised [Sorcery Spell]

The Blessings of the Chastised is more a Constant Passive than an actual Sorcery Spell, though the second mechanic still requires the Sorcery Spell to be cast. Primarily, having this Sorcery Spell causes the Archan to suffer physical pain when physically touched by any Lingering Aberrant and up that the Archan is aware is an Aberrant. This pain is experienced like a nettle burn, not excruciating, but very unpleasant. On the flipside however, any chain, rope or other restraint placed on a Lingering Aberrant and up the Archan is aware is an Aberrant becomes golden glowing, and causes this same pain to them when applied to them.
