Within the chronicles of the Pavourano Knights, the tale of Charlize Matrais “the Matronelle” is well-known. While a capable wielder of the greatsword in combat, Charlize was more known for her self-tailored clothing utilizing a personal weaving pattern. Known as the Matrais Weave, this design featured intricate geometrical and organic patterns that speak of the commendations, skills, and achievements of her life. Bright colors were often chosen by Charlize in order to dazzle her opponents, drawing them away from poor levy soldiers in order to spare their lives. Her combination of weaving and knighthood eventually drew the attention of the Unionist God Neall, who once spent an afternoon with Charlize discussing the Matrais Weave, offering some advice to her before departing. Her weaving following the visit led to the creation of her finest work, with Arcèn being one of her final products before she died.

Appearance

Arcèn is an ornate hand-fan, featuring a golden guard with various Unionist and Viridian symbols adorning it. The leaf of the fan is woven with fine silk in the signature Matrais Weave of its creator. When folded out, the pattern resembles the feathers of the peacock in color and design, with the eyes of each feather replaced by the Eye of Unionism.

Artifact Custom Kit

Arcèn is a Primal (Unionist God Magic) Artifact. As an Artifact, there are several rules associated with Artifact Ownership, see Artifact Page. It also provides the following Specials:

  • Bonded Accessory: Arcèn is bonded to its owner, Rosette Mecatl, and therefore cannot be taken from them or destroyed beyond repair. It cannot leave emote range of Rosette, and will teleport back to them if taken out of range.
  • Matronelle’s Presentation: When Arcèn is unfolding and used by the wielder, any blemishes or imperfections on their clothing or armor are immediately restored or repaired. Worn threads and torn seams are instantly mended, stained fabrics are restored to their original colors, and discolored or dented armor is restored to its pristine appearances.
