Defensive Point Buy is part of the Proficiency System. Its Packs allow a Character to use and get defensive Techniques. Any learned Technique can be used with any shield a Character knows how to use. Shields can be used to defend yourself without using their attached Abilities. We encourage dice rolls to resolve disputes when players can't figure out what to do next. Any character can use a shield with at least one purchase of these Point Buy packs, but Constitution does not decide how effective someone is with a shield. However, if a Character has no Constitution, they are considered incapable of using a shield effectively.
Shield Cover
Shield Cover is an Ability that is automatically included in any purchase, meaning that so long as a Character has a single Defensive Point Buy Pack, this Ability is also added for free.
