Cavalry Point Buy is part of the Proficiency System. The Cavalry Point Buy Category is mostly for Players using the following: Supremium Cavalry MCPets, Individually Purchased Mounts and Carriages, or any other kind of Mountable Plugin Pet. By default, a free Capybara Mount is provided here. Mounts may also be used in server roleplay, stories and more as an aesthetic feature. They cannot offer any bonus to combat roleplay outside of the parameters of Cavalry Point Buy. The Cavalry Point Buy Packs are designed around the use of a Mount in combat, while also setting up some ground rules for the use of Mounts in Combat Roleplay. The rules for using a Mount are listed below. When any Packs have been Point Bought in this Category, the Character automatically gains the following Ability for free:
Ability Aesthetics
Cavalry Point Buy operates under "Open Aesthetics" rules. What this means is, Cavalry Point Buy can be freely used with the following guidelines and suggestions: Horses, Ox, Carriages, Carts, Stags, Large Domesticated Creatures, etc. This list is mostly comprehensive, but we accept suggestions for additions, within reason to the setting. Alternatively, this Proficiency can be re-flavored as Magic. This Aesthetic Flavor has no effect on Ability functionality, but might alter if your Character is considered Occult or not. You decide when you use the Ability if it is Magic or not, and can choose to use it as Non-Magic, but you cannot choose in the moment if your Character is Occult or not Occult.
Mounted Roleplay Rules
- For gameplay purposes, the Mount itself cannot be targeted. All Damage done to the Mount is done to the rider instead.
- Flying Mounts cannot be used in combat. If a Mounted Character is engaged in combat, the Mount is immediately grounded and cannot Fly again until combat is over, but remains Mounted.
- Mounts do not fit through doorways into buildings no matter how large they are. Mounts cannot be used inside Rentals, Bases, Estates, or Businesses, but can go into Stables.
- Carriages and Horses cannot be summoned or used in underground tunnels or the sewers, with one exception. Afflicted Characters can summon monster/magic Horses only in the Sewers.
- Characters can only be removed from a Mount by choice.
- To summon a Mount, use /mcpets ingame and select the mount category to select the icon of your chosen pet.
- If a Character wants to use Magic and Magic Point Buy to Summon their Mounts, the Player may choose to make this Proficiency Point count as Magic instead.
Cavalry Summon
The Cavalry Summon Ability is required for all Cavalry Point Buy Abilities. This Ability cannot be point bought, but is included for free as long as one Cavalry Point Buy Pack has been purchased. This Ability allows the use of Cavalry Point Buy Abilities, as well as Mounts, in Combat. Cavalry Summon is not a Stance Ability.

You can use Cavalry Summon without using an Action, but Dismounting requires one. Cavalry Summon confers the following benefits and limitations: You gain +5 Blocks Range to your Move Actions and Movement Abilities for the immediate turn after you use a Movement Ability. If another Character has this Ability, and the Mount seats multiple, they can ride on the same Mount as you. If sharing a Mount, you only have one Move Action between all Riders, and any Snared or Prone Status Effects are duplicated, as well as any Displacements. If the Snared or Prone Status Effect is removed from one Rider, remove it from the other, as well. If a Displacement is countered or reduced by one Rider, reduce it for the other, as well. If one Rider does not have this Ability, the Mount will be unable to Move an increased Range. Cavalry Summon has an indefinite duration, until ended by you, or until combat is over, after which it has a 20 minute cooldown.
