More actions
Arkenborn are the offspring of Arken, powerful Demons who have come from the Abyss and the Eidolon to exist in Aloria as pseudo-gods. Because the Arken are undeniably Demons, their Arkenborn are sometimes called demi-demons, demonspawn, or Silven, owing to their siring from a coupling between an Arken and a mortal Alorian. Arkenborn are considered dark omens of calamity and destruction with many infamous historical figures being Arkenborn. Arkenborn face persecution in the Regalian Empire not by the letter of the law, but by bigotry and discrimination due to their nature. Some Arkenborn rise to the occasion and attempt to make a name for themselves either in compliance or in defiance of their Demon parent. Others slink away into the shadows hoping not to be noticed by a hostile world.
Arkenborn Rules
Some rules are associated with playing an Arkenborn and not all Arkenborn may appear or act alike in roleplay. This section explains the boundaries and recommendations for Arkenborn and how to play them in Regalia while remaining compliant with the underlying lore.
- Arkenborn can only be the child of one Arken and a mortal parent and cannot be a Vampire Brood or Godborn. Custom Kits may be an exception to this rule, but if this exception is made, this would result in one set of Mechanics from dominant parentage.
- Bralona and Orion cannot be Arkenborn, as they do not conventionally produce. Maraya can be Arkenborn but they can only be Arkenborn if they were born after the Vaults opened, as the Vaults would not have permitted Arkenborn to enter during the fall of their Empire.
- Arkenborn status does not transfer across generations. It cannot be inherited, and its status is immediate at birth. It cannot be hidden, though not all Arkenborn are born with visual identifiers. All Arkenborn are always occult by default, even if you choose not to have the Mechanics.
Design
The first and most important consideration in designing your Arkenborn character is deciding whether the character should have demi-demon eyes. Demi-demon eyes identify an Arkenborn to anyone else what they are, and usually also identifies which realm their Arken parent is aligned to. For Abyss Arken, the colorations are gold and red, and for the Eidolon Arken, the colorations are silver and blue. It is possible for an Arkenborn not to have the demi-demon eyes, though Demon eyes are considered a point of pride for the Arkenborn, even if it labels them early. Those born without demi-demon eyes are still Arkenborn, but in the eyes of many are considered weaker or less concentrated inheritors of the power of their Arken parent. See these references below for inspiration. Note, while you can experiment with light or dark shades of these colors, if you choose demi-demon eyes, they should be easily visible on a Minecraft skin. Feel free to send in a ticket if you need help deciding on a good visual distinction or would like Lore Staff to sign off on your skin as appropriate to this visual trait.

Secondly, consider if you want your character to look like the Arken parent. All Arken have distinct visual and thematic traits. For example, the Pride Arken has golden-blond hair, a Velheim/Fornoss aesthetic theming, and is fully Ailor. Arkenborn who share these traits are considered strongly attuned with their Arken parent while, for example, a full Finullen Elf with black hair and a lithe frame is considered far away in similarities to their Arken parent. Most of this comes down to how the Arkenborn treat each other and how society treats them for looking like their demon parent. Many Arkenborn are proud of being demi-demons and will actively ridicule the Arkenborn who look nothing like their parent. Pro-Arken societies consider it a mark of shame to be born distant from one's glorious parent. Inversely, societies like Regalia, which are very anti-Arken, may consider looking nothing like the Arken parent a blessing or a way to hide one's identity. It is recommended you keep your character looking somewhat similar to their Arken parent or at least maintain some visual aspects because it encourages a sense of belonging and closeness among the Arkenborn of the same parent and alignment, but it is not required. You can play an Arkenborn that looks nothing like their parent and does not even have demi-demon eyes.
Arkenborn Conflict
Arkenborn typically experience conflict or adversity from a couple of sources. There is a strong social connection between Arkenborn of the same alignment due to shared experiences of bullying, trauma, adversity, and shared victories. Arkenborn like no other type of person in Aloria form strong social bonds across heritages, cultures, and religions because of what they are. They do, however, get into conflict quite frequently and often not even strictly out of their own doing.
- Arkenborn of the Abyss and Eidolon often have adversarial relations. This happens due to natural inclinations they do not understand because their souls are made partly by Abyss/Void magical energy, but also because of thematic opposition between their parents. Their parents fight each other, and for this reason, it is simple to conclude they, as Demon children, will fight each other also.
- Arkenborn also face adversity from purists and religious fanatics who consider them a blight on society. Even an Arkenborn who knows no Magic at all will often be attacked by purists or accosted and verbally abused for being what they are. Demi-demons have historically caused many calamities, so any Arkenborn is liable to face bigotry and discrimination as if they are the next disaster waiting to happen.
- Sometimes Arkenborn of their own kind may also have adversarial relations based on their vanity or ego. For example, Pride Arkenborn might all have familial rivalry between them to be "Pride's best child,” while Fury Arkenborn might fight frequently as a test of who is the best warrior. Compassion Arkenborn might chide each other for not being kind enough, while Intrigue Arkenborn might try to out-trick each other, and so on.
Generally speaking, the conflict Arkenborn experience should largely be self-generated or projected from the lore universe. While Arkenborn are technically an oppressed class in Regalia, the reality of roleplay in-game is that most characters are inclusive and kind and that only a few radicals will be hostile to Arkenborn. Keep in mind, however, that Event DMs will always enforce the logic of the universe, which is that Arkenborn are second-class citizens.
Abyss Arkenborn
Abyss Arkenborn gain two shared Mechanics that all types of Abyss Arkenborn have. Each unique type of Arkenborn also gains a Mechanic specific to their parent. You may choose to decline to have any of these Mechanics, but that does not make you mundane, as all Arkenborn are Occult by default. Note: this section will refer to Arken as he/she/they despite Arken being genderless for the ease of writing presentation, or because of their preferred gender.
Common Abyss Mechanics
Vice Master |
You are a natural corruptor, able to detect what vices and corruptible traits others have (consent not needed). You can then initiate a corruption cycle of another person, causing them to take on heightened vices, or go down a “corruption-arc” path where they become “evil” (this does require consent). |
Receptive Mind |
While not fully able to read minds, you can sometimes perceive bleeding memories or thoughts from others. Other players may DM you and describe things you are witnessing from their minds, thoughts, or flashes of the past that your character is watching while interacting with them. You may ask a player to share these, but they must always be the ones to define what is seen, if anything at all. |
Pride Arkenborn

The Pride Arken is considered the strongest among the Abyss Arken and the leader of their fold. He is the rival of Justice, who he considers constraining and hypocritical. Pride's greatest qualities are arrogance, ego, vanity, and a belief in self-superiority. He is considered immensely powerful in the realm of Magic, and schemes to showcase himself or his offspring as the most superior of all. The Pride Arken has many Arkenborn offspring because he is frequently worshiped and sought out by Arken-worshiping cults, and also because he seeks worthy successors.
Pride Arkenborn often have the same inclinations to grandiose delusions and ambition as their parent. They feel restless, always seeking to move upwards, achieve new things, learn new things, and subject others to awe and their superiority. On the flip side, they are prone to outbursts when they feel stuck in life and nothing is progressing, or when their vanity is offended by failure and dismissal. Pride Arkenborn are common users of Magic, as a strong connection to the Pride Arken often creates Mages born with Magic at birth.
Magic Identity |
You choose one Magic School for free on top of your standard limit, but only receive a single Mechanic from it, regardless of your Magic Proficiency investment. However, you can freely choose which of the Mechanics within the Magic School that you gain access to. |
Fury Arkenborn

The Fury Arken is the twin brother of Pride, a peerless fighter who has never lost a duel and the polar opposite of Pride's Magic focus. He is the rival of Valor, who he considers cowardly and apathetic. Fury's greatest qualities are his martial skill in combat, and his boundless ill temper, energy, and rage. He is capable of laying waste to whole armies with a simple sword, but unlike the other Arken does not scheme, instead preferring a simpler life seeking worthy opponents. The Fury Arken has few offspring–those who appear often are the end product of a battle.
Fury Arkenborn have the same inclinations to adrenaline from struggle and competition as their parent. They are ill-tempered and crass with their behavior, and the most likely out of all Arkenborn to lose their composure in rage. On the flip side, they are also immensely strong and one of the few of their kin who can boast a natural physical strength not caused by Magic. Fury and Pride Arkenborn often stick together, mirroring the twin-brother nature of their Arken parents due to their complementary skills.
Greater Strength |
You are stronger than the average normal person when it comes to out-of-combat tests of strength. Whether it is in arm wrestling or other power competitions, you can always re-roll once, choosing the highest number. You can also carry much heavier loads than other normal people. |
Avarice Arkenborn

The Avarice Arken is an opulent magnate of wealth and possession, one who seems to at once own everything and is never satisfied. He is the rival of Compassion, who disgusts him due to her charity and sharing with others. Avarice's greatest qualities are the art of the deal and the plot to providence and wealth, his peerless ability to always squeeze every ounce of gold worth from any interaction or even loss. The Avarice Arken is hardly ever seen in a fight, preferring to let the greed of mortals do the dirty work for him.
Avarice Arkenborn are infected with the same endless desire to own things as their parent, whether that is material possessions, or the affections of others as property. Avarice Arkenborn are perpetually envious of others owning things they do not have, and even if they have the thing they once desired, they now desire more. Avarice Arkenborn are often easier to distinguish from other Arkenborn due to their preference for noble metals like gold and silver, decking themselves out as opulently as they can.
Greased Palms |
You can make trades of resources (Divinium, Artifactsparks, and Wealth Tokens) non-publicly, or can facilitate trade between two people to make it non-public, done through a ticket rather than through public channels. |
Body Arkenborn

The Body Arken is a researcher and experimentalist, who seeks to push the boundaries of knowledge and ethics in bio-engineering. He is the rival of the Happiness Arken, whose satisfaction with stagnancy repulses him. The Body Arken's greatest qualities are his shapeshifting and unrivaled understanding in the application of the Creation Particle, the power of Dragons to shape life, even if perfect life recreation eludes him. Many unique creatures and monsters across the world were experiments of the Body Arken, created for the sake of creation.
Body Arkenborn are prone to the same biological obsessions as their father, constantly seeking to redefine what defines their bodily state, to gain a deeper understanding of the organic processes of life itself, and to master them. They seek to become the perfect body, or at least be more capable of withstanding the entropy enforced on them by Dragons and mortality. Like their father, they are unpredictable and often unrecognizable, as the art of shapeshifting makes them don a new persona with each new face.
Shape Shifter |
You are a full magical Shapeshifter and can change your appearance and parts of your body at will. Shapeshifting is a complex process and has several rules associated with it, so review the full explanation of this Mechanic on the Shapeshifting page. |
Corruption Arkenborn

The Corruption Arken is a deeply enigmatic Arken who is rarely seen but frequently blamed for the fall of the mighty. His rival is the Eidolon Arken of Regality, who combats his corruptive influences among the ruling classes. The Corruption Arken does nothing but twist the hearts and minds of the good-natured and virtuous to relish in their downfall into depravity and malice. He sees kings and queens become tyrants, and stalwart bureaucrats and guardians graft and cheat their way to wealth at the expense of the ones they once protected.
Corruption Arkenborn have the same inclination as their father, to relish in the control and influence they exert on others to feed into their worst qualities. Even if a Corruption Arkenborn is not strictly motivated to see royalty toppled, their meddling in the lives of others encourages self-serving habits and sometimes even destructive behavior for no other purpose than self-entertainment. It should come as no surprise that Corruption Arkenborn are the most reviled of the Abyss Arkenborn, due to their habits.
Demon Kindred |
Demons see you as one of them, despite not being a Demon yourself. During Duke Summonings, the Duke will not use anything you say against you or as an extra cost. You can Veilwalk without negative consequences, and Demons cannot possess you, or consume your soul under any circumstances, meaning you have some natural protections against Demons that other mortals do not. |
Rejection Arkenborn

The Rejection Arken is one of the more benign Arken who is nonetheless capable of destructive grief if rejected for any reason. The Rejection Arken embodies all the negative feelings of the unwanted, unloved, refused, and denied, and the melancholy or rage these situations inspire. Her rival is the beauty Arken, for whom she holds great contempt as she has never felt the scorn of denial. The Rejection Arken cares a lot more about mortal lives than the others, and as such has no great history of mass destruction or abuse.
Rejection Arkenborn are fearful of the same denial of who they are, what they want to be, and their worth that their mother strives to battle against. They too are capable of expressions of rage, melancholy, and depression at the reality or recognition of it all, and seek a better world in which they are not denied as much as they are. They see the world in an imperfect state and challenge it, on that notion, in big but also small ways to strive for genuine connections and less refusal in the world.
Emotion Sense |
You can sense the emotional states of others, even when they are trying to hide it with their expression or body language. This will not detail why or how they came to such an emotion, you will only be able to feel it by looking at them. You can also try to telepathically heighten or lessen these emotions, but it is up to the other player whether this succeeds. |
Dread Arkenborn

The Dread Arken is the manifestation of fear, a dark woodland stalker who enjoys tormenting trespassers with their worst terrors become manifest. Her rival is the Nature Arken, whose serene control of nature constantly impedes the woodland home of the Dread Arken. The Dread Arken is one of the most malicious Arken who does things for the fun of it, with no long-term goal. Her strength lies in the realm of illusions, but also to manipulate the base instincts of mortals so profoundly, that one cannot tell illusion from delusion.
Dread Arkenborn have the same incessant need to know the fears of others and to torment and taunt them with manifestations of them. The concept of fear is an obsession for them, to understand it, grasp it, and master the application of it for good or evil. Dread Arkenborn can both be the most excellent saboteurs who turn stalwart defenders against their minds or the most proficient propagandists who play in on the fear of the citizenry to keep all of them in line with their rulers and leaders.
Eldergod Transformation |
You can use an Eldergod Transformation, changing into an eldritch horror that counts as a Disguise. This also counts as a Monstrous Transformation and you will not transform back to normal if you reach 0 HP in Combat. (Monstrous Transformations are illegal in Regalia). |
Intrigue Arkenborn

The Intrigue Arken is the hardest to pin down of all of them, as his name isn't exactly clear. He might be Intrigue, but he might also be Betrayal, Deceit, or Trickery. The Intrigue Arken is the rival of Loyalty, whose constant enforcement of dedication to one's liege gets in the way of Intrigue's games. The Intrigue Arken has unrivaled skills in lying clearly and honestly, yet obfuscating truth beyond reproach. His bargains always benefit him, and his betrayal hits harder than death itself. He is one of the most feared Abyss Arken.
Intrigue Arkenborn are prone to the same invasive attitude as their father, a constant desire to get involved in other people's business and wreck their plans subtly and as covertly as possible. They plot and scheme for the art of the game, and ply their charisma to wrap others around their finger before quickly pulling the rug. Most Intrigue Arkenborn try to remain as hidden as possible, as betrayal is a game that only works once before they are inevitably labeled as untrustworthy and must seek a new face.
Mind Suggestion |
With OOC consent, you can mind-trick Characters into doing your bidding without establishing full Mind Control over them. These simple verbal commands are undetectable, but cannot be more complicated than a single sentence. This does not count as Mind Control and thus Mechanics that provide immunity do not work. |
Conquest Arkenborn

The Conquest Arken is the solemn embodiment of the subjugation of others, a Demon warlord at the head of a great and terrifying host of marauding warrior Demons. Conquest is the rival of Maestro, whose focus on art and the beauty of culture erodes the savage destructiveness of the wars he inflicts. The Conquest Arken is a mighty warrior, but his true mettle lies in his peerless tactics and strategies, his plots to control and dominate states and realms to his whims. He is also the most publicly active of all Arken as a Kathar Prince.
Conquest Arkenborn are struck with a similar desire to conquer but, lacking armies, seek more small-scale and local conquests. Organizations, guilds, mercenary bands, and even noble house guards, Conquest Arkenborn seek to inject themselves into anything that forms a cohesive group and struggle and wrestle their way to control it for the sake of success. They never accept being a second in command, but when reaching the top, can use their skills for insight and strategy to make better use of what is on offer.
Universal Speech |
You can understand and speak all mortal and currently practiced languages from all the corners of the world. This includes magical languages spoken by mortals, or even Elderlaw languages like Dragonspeech. |
Eidolon Arkenborn
Eidolon Arkenborn gain two shared Mechanics that all types of Eidolon Arkenborn have. Each unique type of Arkenborn also gains a Mechanic specific to their parent. You may choose to decline to have any of these Mechanics, but that does not make you mundane, as all Arkenborn are occult. Note: this section will refer to Arken as he/she/they, even if the Arken are genderless for the ease of writing presentation, or because of their preferred gender.
Common Eidolon Mechanics
Eidolon Cast |
You can change the material of any non-organic substance, like rock, silver, or wood, into Eidolonite, a lightweight and durable pristine light-blue opaque crystal, by touch. Eidolonite overrides all non-geometric shapes into geometric ones, creating perfect hexagonal patterns and shapes. When used as a forging material, Eidolonite cools down to look like ivory with a holographic sheen in hexagonal patterns. Anything touched can change, though it spreads from the hands slowly and not instantly. |
Long Living |
You live much longer than the average life span of your heritage. You can live up to three times as long, and visually stop aging at a chosen age (must be at least 21). Additionally, you are immune to non-magical diseases and Afflictions. |
Justice Arkenborn

The Justice Arken is considered the strongest among the Eidolon Arken and the leader of their fold. She is the rival of Pride, whom she considers above just reproach and wicked in self-obsession. Justice's greatest qualities are diligence to right wrongs, bravery, and decisiveness. She is considered immensely powerful in the realm of Magic and uses her divine judgment to burn away wicked sin and crime. The Justice Arken has few offspring, as she is judicious with her approval and never directly involved, sending her masculine alter-ego.
Justice Arkenborn have the same inclination to be a self-appointed judge, jury, and executioner as their parent. They feel an endless desire to right wrongs in the world, even those beyond their control and power. They see their judgment as faultless and are also immensely dogmatic and stubborn to see reality or situations any other way. They are quick to decide and quick to anger if their judgment is refused or refuted. Justice Arkenborn are common users of Magic due to their parent's strong magical connection.
Vigilante Beast |
You are Regalia's most lovable vigilante, always seeking to deal out your sense of justice. You are immune to being arrested for Low Law violations, so long as what you have done isn't annoying or cringe-inducing for the Knights to deal with. Benign crime receives a slap on the wrist. |
Valor Arkenborn

The Valor Arken is the twin brother of Justice, a peerless fighter who has never lost a duel and the polar opposite of Justice's Magic focus. He is the rival of Fury, who he considers reckless and unaccountable. Valor's greatest qualities are his martial skill but juxtaposed to his eternal calmness and refusal to ply it. Valor was once a glory hound seeking victory and fame but has become silent and inactive, preferring to smoke his pipe and watch the grass grow. Some in the Eidolon fold blame Valor's inaction for the supremacy of the Abyss in Aloria.
Valor Arkenborn share the qualities that were once obvious in their father: bravery, righteous protection, and dedicated service to one's fellow and kin, but they are equally capable of falling into silent stoicism and inaction. While they share a penchant for combat with any Furyborn, they are completely devoid of the high-stakes emotional energy and vigor that their Abyss rivals put into it. Others soldier on as faithful warriors in service of their superiors in the same way Valor acts as a bodyguard to the other Eidolon Arken.
Element Hearing |
You can hear stories or histories from the elements, for example, feeling battles that were witnessed by mountains, suffering felt by burnt forests, or cries for help carried by the wind. This cannot be used to metagame the actions of other players but can give you unique story insights in storied locations at the behest of an Event DM, Progression, or your own Lore Story writing. |
Compassion Arkenborn

If there was ever an Arken that could claim the crown of most benign Demon, it would be Compassion, an Arken so selflessly obsessed with helping others that she ends up hurting herself. Compassion is the rival of Avarice, whose complete disregard for the wellbeing of others profoundly troubles her. Compassion shares in all the good qualities of kindness, charity, goodwill, and altruism towards others but has in more cases than once brought a premature end to her rebirth cycle to make a largely meaningless gesture of self-sacrifice.
Compassion Arkenborn are constantly torn in a cruel world, full of evil, and carelessness towards one's fellow. Compassion Arkenborn see a broken world around them, aiming to at least mend a small part of it before their mortal life eventually meets its end. The Compassion Arken and her children are not bound to the grandiose acts of world-changing politics and events like the Intrigue, Conquest, or Justice Arken, but focus on the small lives of the creatures of the world and those who have no other means to make themselves heard.
Emotion Sense |
You can sense the emotional states of others, even when they are trying to hide it with their expression or body language. This will not detail why or how they came to such an emotion, you will only be able to feel it by looking at them. You can also try to telepathically heighten or lessen these emotions, though it is up to the other player whether this succeeds. |
Happiness Arkenborn

The Happiness Arken obfuscates the more common benign expectation of the Eidolon Arken. They are a whimsical, unaccountable, and capricious Demon who seeks to spread happiness, even at the cost of misery. Happiness is the rival of the Body Arken, who they consider to be deeply unfun and incapable of "getting the joke" due to their incessant obsession with scientific pursuits. The Happiness Arken is theatrical and spectacular, arriving and departing from any scene with the greatest fanfare and pomp to make sure the punchline is always heard.
Happiness Arkenborn, similarly to the Happiness Arken, seek to spread glee and joy but are similarly incapable of telling the difference between appropriate and applicable comedy and misplaced humor or pranking that ends up hurting others. They refuse to acknowledge bad things in the world around them, seeing through rose-tinted glasses and trying to forcibly correct anything that does not conform to that worldview, even if it means forcibly stapling a smile on someone's face to stop them from crying.
Free Walker |
You are immune to restraints of any kind. If you are bound or shackled, they effortlessly slip off you. If you are imprisoned or locked up, you can walk through locked doors to freedom. Keep in mind thatyou can still be attacked while attempting to break out! |
Regality Arkenborn

The Regality Arken is probably the most widely accepted and tolerated Arken simply because he has never done anything to offend, obstruct, or harm mortals who had righteous intentions to govern. Regality is the rival of Corruption, who constantly tries to make the world worse off and ruins Regality's carefully balanced designs. The Regality Arken is chiefly obsessed with the concept of good governance, trying to teach mortals how to be respectful and just to their subjects, be fair rulers, and be thoughtful and dignified.
Regality Arkenborn follow much the same blueprint as their father, seeking to challenge corrupt and tyrannical systems, not only from the government down but also from society up. If they see a family with a repressive father who beats their children, or a priest who lies to their flock to rake in profits, the Regality Arken feel compelled to combat and expose these corrupt influences on the world, and to rectify them. It should come as no surprise that Regality Arkenborn, as such, have the highest murder rate from picking fights with the powerful.
Blood Oath |
Even if not a Bloodcast, you can summon an Accountability Forum against a noble, government official, or leader of some kind, which is a kangaroo court or open forum to accuse a person of tyranny, corruption, or incompetence. The accused need not show, but if they do not, this will be seen as disgraceful and humiliating. |
Beauty Arkenborn

The Beauty Arken is grace in appearance embodied, a Demon who no longer needs Body's obsession with perfection because she has already reached it. A visage of unmatchable enchanting glory, Beauty holds scorn only for her rival, Rejection, who she thinks is wallowing in self-pity and making herself ugly by personality. The Beauty Arken is invested in being surrounded by beautiful things and eternal beauty and youth, chasing every beauty craze and trend, trying every fashion style and every new fad.
Beauty Arkenborn are equally obsessed with their looks, seeking the attention of others by heightening their beauty and surrounding themselves with beautiful things and people. Beauty Arkenborn want to be enchanting and beloved, poised and graceful. And yet, perhaps as a point of irony, they are capable of the same melancholy and petulant rage if their prominence and aesthetic are denied, for there are always crass people in the world who would trample beauty wherever they found it for the sake of it.
Alert Mind |
Your mind is exceptionally guarded against the ill-spirited intents of others. If others use an emote that describes a negative feeling or thought towards you, or speaks ill about you in a different language you do not understand, you will mentally receive this intent, statement, or thought, and can reply to it as if it was said clearly to you in your language. |
Nature Arkenborn

The Nature Arken is a protector of nature, singularly obsessed with the wellbeing of plant life and the trees over all other living things in the world. Many would denounce Nature as an eco-terrorist, wiping out whole cities that encroach too far on untouched forests. He is pushed to these extremes by his rival, Dread, who has even wormed her way into his mind and infected him with fear of whatever the living will do to nature if they get too close, making him blindly (and tragically) hostile to all things that do not belong in the forests.
Nature Arkenborn are created from the rare woodland wanderers that the Nature Arken has come to respect and let enter into his domain. They care deeply for nature as he does, though are not yet touched by the toxic influence of Dread. Even though they are Nature's children, they too understand and respect the grief that the forests have felt in the past 400 years and that their safe passage is not assured despite their parentage. Nature Arkenborn, as such, seek to preserve the wild woodlands and protect the plants within.
Greater Hunter |
You are an apex hunter in the wilds, capable of a greater sense of the hunt, sight, and hearing in nature. You can effortlessly capture mundane animals in the hunt and may receive additional benefits during Monster Hunt Events or Monster encounters in the forests of Regalia. |
Loyalty Arkenborn

The Loyalty Arken is considered an outsider among the Eidolon Arken, as though he is loyal to their fold, he also shares loyalties with Halfvel from Fornoss and Gilan from Estelley. The Loyalty Arken has an unsatiable need to serve at the behest of others, protect them, be unreplaceable to them, and be forever loyal and faithful to their service. He is, as such, often seen as a Marken–a curse that inherently is cast on those who are disloyal–as a subversion and commentary on how Marken could be greater with discipline.
Loyalty Arkenborn are not necessarily as obsessed with being subject to others as their father is, but they make for some of the most unshakeable and eternally loyal compatriots, allies, and friends. Nothing can break the dedication of a Loyalty Arkenborn, not even death, and many have tragically faced death to prove that sentiment. Out of all kinds of Arkenborn, Loyalty Arkenborn are considered the most tolerable, especially if they have been raised and indoctrinated into whatever service they were brought up in, due to the low risk of defection.
Natured Marken |
You are a non-infectious Marken by nature, meaning from birth, but unlike conventional Marken, you are fully in control of yourself and never transform involuntarily. Anytime you do transform, you are still able to speak in humanoid languages. However, you do not gain access to Marken Mechanics unless fully Transformed and lose them when transforming back into non-Marken form. |
Maestro Arkenborn

The Maestro Arken is the creator of visual glory. Maestro sees the vision, executes the goals, and flourishes beyond all expectations. The rival of Maestro is Conquest, whose incessant warring and trampling of cultural heritage destroys much of the past's artistic achievements. Maestro is tormented with a constant search for inspiration, a constant drive to create, and a constant and pitiless self-criticism of anything that is created by hand or brush. Maestro, like any tortured artist, always chases the high of the magnum opus that will never come.
Maestro's Arkenborn are similarly beset with the traditional tortured artist ailments–a need to create, a need to improve, but endless self-criticism and sometimes even defacement of one's creations. They are often divinely inspired by Maestro's unseen persona, leading some to accuse them of not being mundanely talented and learned but magically gifted, thus heightening their anxiety about the judgment towards their work. Maestro's children strive to one day draw Maestro's attention with their very own final creation to be seen as worthy.
Art Sight |
From paintings, statues, or other forms of art that depict people, events, or objects, you can transpose the subject into your mind and potentially see back in time to moments, people, or events captured in the art. This usually relies on other players DM'ing your character's experience based on whatever art they have placed in their Rentals or Regions, what you perceive is up to them. |
