Resources

From MassiveCraft Wiki

Resources are a type of in-character currency used in several roleplay systems. Unlike the Regal, which is the official currency of the Regalian Empire used in day to day-transactions, Resources are objects which do not hold literal monetary value, but whose innate characteristics give them value. Below lists the types of Resources currently used in circulation, as well as pertinent information regarding them.

Divinium

Divinium is a Resource that describes various totems, relics, and objects of religious significance that have value to Gods and higher powers, serving as literal manifestations of faith. Divinium is an in-roleplay term, and thus it can be called such in-character.

  • Divinium can be traded between players.
  • Divinium cannot be stolen from players.
  • Divinium is distinguished between "Auto Divinium" which is generated by Knights and Static Divinium which is generated by | Divinium Raids.
  • Auto Divinium is always considered 'weaker' than Static Divinium, and will have limitations imposed on it by Staff during Events and God Summonings.
  • Divinium is recorded on the Custom Kit Sheet, and characters can know who has Divinium, because it is valuable, and people talk about things that are valuable.

Divinium Uses

Divinium as a Resource may be used in the following ways:

  • Summoning a God from any (non Pagan and Cult Faith) Religion to directly communicate with them. The God will generally only speak to/pay attention to the owner of the Divinium, but the owner can allow other Characters to ask questions.
  • Curing Vampirism, explained on the Vampire page.
  • Removing Curses by summoning a God.
  • Immediately reviving a “killed” Bralona, instead of waiting 72 Hours.

How to obtain Divinium

There are several ways to obtain Divinium, outlined below:

  • Divinium may be obtained by participating in a Divinium Raid, during which both parties obtain 1 Divinium after the Raid.
  • Dymolov Vampires that take ownership of Divinium during a Divinium Raid gain 2 Divinium instead.
  • Archon who successfully convert non-Archon with dimensional Magic to said Affinity, gain 1 Divinium.
  • Members of the Allfaith Order may convert Artifactspark Resources they own to Divinium.
  • Members of the Augur Order during a Resource Trade may duplicate traded Divinium.
  • Priests that absorb and keep 3 Curses at the same time generate 1 Divinium
  • Ailor may generate Divinium during Staff Events if they act within their faith’s ideology.
  • Knights that Rank Up generate 1 Auto-Divinium per month.
  • Hosting religious festivals and events in the name of one or multiple gods. These events must be large and public, make a ticket to request divinium.

Artifactsparks

Artifactsparks, or Artifact Sparks, is the colloquial name for magic that is concentrated in an object, in such a powerful caliber, that it can be used to empower Artifacts. Normal people cannot just freely conjure Artifactsparks, and must engage in large scale dangerous rituals, or extended magic usage, that usually see the Aelrrigan Order try to put a stop to because of the risks involved. Artifactsparks are usually contained in ritual scrolls or smaller rune-etched objects. This kind of Resource is obviously more valuable to beings like Arken, and less to Gods. Artifactsparks are an in-roleplay term, and thus it can be called such in-character.

  • Artifactsparks can be traded between players.
  • Artifactsparks cannot be stolen from players.
  • Artifactsparks have two types: Artifactsparks, and Legendary Artifactsparks.
  • Artifacts with Artifactsparks in them can have the spark stolen by certain Mechanics, and Aelrrigan Knights.
  • Artifactsparks are recorded on the Custom Kit Sheet, and characters can know who has Artifactsparks, because it is valuable, and people talk about things that are valuable.

Artifactspark Uses

Artifactsparks as a Resource may be used in the following ways:

  • Used on an Artifact without a Spark, consuming the spark, and granting them their Artifactspark Mechanics.
  • Immediately reviving a “killed” Bralona, instead of waiting 72 Hours.

Legendary Artifactspark Uses

Legendary Artifactsparks as a Resource may be used in the following ways:

  • Used on an Artifact with or without a Spark, consuming the spark, and unlocking that artifact’s Legendary Mechanics until the Spark is removed.

How to obtain Artifactsparks

There are several ways to obtain Artifactsparks, outlined below:

  • Characters with at least 8 points invested in Magic Point Buy (or Magic Adapt Point Buy) who KO a collective 7 Characters in CRP can generate 1 Artifactspark. CRP must not be no-stakes duels, and should not be OOCly arranged. Proof of KO’s must be sent in a Ticket to Staff, and must be during a period that Lore Staff can confirm via server logs (which usually go back 2~ months max).
  • Characters who have an Artifact Stolen from them (provided that Artifact had an Artifactspark in it), can instantly generate an Artifactspark to place into the next empty Artifact that comes into their possession. This Artifactspark cannot be used for anything else.
  • Successful Raiding Parties during an Artifactspark Raid are granted 1 Legendary Artifactspark and 1 Artifactspark.
  • Members of the Augur Order during a Resource Trade may duplicate static Artifactsparks
  • Knights that Rank Up may self-generate 1 Auto-Artifactspark per month.
  • The Aelrrigan Order may vote to grant Artifactsparks to individuals.
