There have been many famous figures throughout the history of Aloria, whose narratives are varied, their origins complex, and their narratives intriguing. Most live or lived lives beyond the standard of life in the world, above the position of commoners, lacking or not overtly possessing faith, and having an array of diverse origins from across Aloria. These are just some of those figures who have worked to shape the world. OOC NOTE: This list is not meant to be a comprehensive record of every notable figure in Aloria. The people here are also not meant to take away from, or reduce, the accomplishments of other notable characters who are not on the list. The only reason they were not included was due to too little information, their story veered too much into deeplore territory, or their inclusion would have created confusion. The goal of this list, and the others in the People section, is to provide fun, background lore to be discussed in character applications or mentioned in-game.

Ainife
A Feka Asha born among the Daendroque states of southern Westwynd, Ainife had a difficult start to her life. Despite being shunned by her mother’s side of the family, she embraced her Asha heritage, and came to despise the nearby Allorn states and the Ithanian lands to the north. However, she buried this beneath a love of the arts, and spent hours each day practicing her skills in dance. She soon joined a traveling troupe of performers, and came to learn they did not just earn their living through their artistic work, but also thievery. The headstrong young Half-Asha soon helped to steer their sights to focus on Elves and their supporters rather than the general audience, and Ainife’s troupe would travel into Ithania where they saw their greatest successes. Initially, the robberies went unreported or only locally investigated, but when Ainife upgraded her personal activities to the agitating of bad labor conditions among the miners and encouraging them to strike, more pressure was applied to trace the perpetrator of such crimes. To keep her friends safe, she had to leave them, departing with her mentor and embarking on a solo career which crossed Westwynd and beyond for another decade before her old age saw her settle down and teach her skills to apprentices. She died suddenly at the age of sixty, her death widely rumored to be the retribution of Allorn powers and their allies who had so long failed to catch up to her.

Davide Demarch-Sapelle
The young man and future musical prodigy was born to Ithanian aristocrats who had migrated to Fendarfelle to help directly oversee local plantation efforts in the region. Not the first, or last, of his half dozen siblings, Davide’s younger years are a bit of a mystery until the age of eight. It was at this age that he received his own private tutor, and when he was first introduced to playing music. He stunned his tutor, and then family, with his natural gifts, and by the age of ten, he had traveled to Sovereign Ithania to further his musical training, before graduating and going on to engage in a string of performances across the region. He soon married, and returned home, curiously shunning the many requests to come and visit with those elsewhere, instead drawing attention to his home region in Fendarfelle. The tourism that came from this interest in his skills, and soon those of his students, helped the region thrive, and he took to playing orchestral pieces of his own creation for visiting or local crowds who poured into venues to witness his skills. The Bone Horror Crisis significantly disrupted these good times, but in recent years, Davide is back to conducting and composing his music, while also serving as a father to his four children.

Indah Fadhlanibu
Young Indah was born to simple Allar planters who thrived in the early years of Allar transposition to Hadar. Some of his earliest memories were of helping his father maintain the infrastructure of their aquatic pools, and he was soon noted for his perceptive ability. This trait was noted further when the local Digmaan toured the region, and the young Indah impressed him with these skills of observation. Barely ten, he was swept up in a system of patronage that saw those skills heightened, and he was put to work in the Digmaan’s court as a scribe and scholar. While knowledge of the past was all but forbidden, the ecologies across Hadar’s many islands were still being explored and understood, and this Allar pushed his patron to let him lead expeditions to these places, which was granted. For decades, Indah explored and examined the wildlife and plants, cataloging and assessing them, discovering dozens of new species in both areas along the way. He also paved the way for Allar alchemists to fully understand the world around them, and ultimately gained renown across the many nations slowly forming in Hadar. He continued this work throughout his long life, before he ultimately passed away from old age, surrounded by his own children and several grandchildren.

Hâmmu Adda-En-Kalla
The Eronidas have often been judged to be limited in the arts, which is grossly untrue. However, one young Eronidas warrior has been working to prove that assessment wrong even since he first confronted it. Born into the harsh Eronidas lands in western Westwynd, Hâmmu Adda-En-Kalla’s sole focus was initially on warfare. The people of the region were fractured, and he raided with his parents, siblings and fellows into nearby lands, or against their fellow Eronidas. But with time came inspiration, or as the Eronidas named it, a godly calling. Pulled away from solely the field of battle, Hâmmu took on the role of lamenter and death-poet in his community. His raw skills were astounding, and they only improved as the decades wore on. In 290 AC, he traveled away from his homeland to absorb inspiration elsewhere in other Eronidas societies, but by the time he returned, he learned his parents had both been killed in the Ranger Crisis. The poem he composed for them is said to have even made captured Teledden weep with sympathy for his loss. He remains a poet today, having largely set aside his warrior’s life to raise a family with his partner, gaining inspiration from the Eronidas’ past more than their present, as it too often fouls his mood to ponder the chaos of recent years.

Eret the Bloodseeker
The Urlan known as Eret the Bloodseeker is infamous among the community of hunters, trappers, and more across Aloria. Where there is exotic and rare game to be found, Eret will visit it once, so they swore in an oath a mere two decades after they were born. Little is known about Eret’s origins, if they were born an Urlan or transformed into one, but it is clear they came from the north due to their bovid form. Their name was first made in Corontium, when Eret took down a madened Surian Mist Beast, alone, following it up with the defeat of a giant predatory bird which had been threatening a region of Anglia for over 100 years. They then moved further south, and slew countless exotic horrors of the water and surface, before, in more recent decades, returning to the north to begin the hunt anew. They are a silent, solitary hunter, refusing membership in a number of guilds for the desire of following where the will of the hunt takes them, their sole companion being their Erker Mount. The most recent hunt by Eret is said to have had a rather nasty result, the death of not one, but three Wyverns, which has prompted some to suspect Eret is now in hiding from the resurgent Isldar. Regardless, their reputation has preceded them for decades, and many a young Urlan hopes to possess their skills of tracking, trapping, and warrior prowess.

Qaleem Llommeniir
Qaleem was dormant for untold millennia before being awoken in the modern day around 120 AC. What their life was before their slumber is unclear to them even all of these years later, but eventually the Vault’s population went to live with the Maraya of Hadar. Thriving in the organized Tohn society they now lived in, Qaleem took to examining the architecture that surrounded them, such as it was, laying all in ruins. He took to delving into the ruins of the ancient tower which had once stood where the Tohn now founded itself, and soon took up a unique profession: architect. He designed countless structures and alterations to the expanding urban growth of his people as the next century wore on, and more were recovered or birthed within the nation. By the dawn of the third century, he at last reached into the realm of engineering. He crafted small machines at first, to help him in his work, before moving on to larger creations based on what he had seen beneath the waves and surface of the world. Today, Qaleem’s name echoes across the Maraya information network, renowned for his artistry in many fields, and also a figurehead for the ideals of the Tohn Maraya. United with a wife for decades now, he has also produced half a dozen children, the oldest of which have already taken into the same fields of study as their father.

Mojisola Ouattara
Better known as the Chain Queen of the Sands, Mojisola was born to minor Songaskian aristocrats. The family was led by her mother, and with four daughters, Mojisola as the third youngest was largely left alone to pursue her path to bring glory to her household. She ultimately chose the rare and exotic weapon of the chain whip, barbed and requiring considerable skill to use. Mojisola developed those skills over the next two decades, training every day to perfect her technique, and putting on displays of her prowess against foreign fighters, but also letting them serve as tests of her skills. Her attitude saw her become friends with fellow unique young female nobles, creating a group who frequently traveled and trained together. Of the several members, Mojisola was the most physical, though she still taught defensive tactics to these friends. When the First Songaskian War began, she had hoped to deploy abroad, but the quick reversal of the Masaya’s fortunes saw her instead serve in the Hadravian War. There, guarding a route deeper into her people’s empire, she did battle with the powerful Arkenborn Tristan Kade, and beat him in combat, a rare feat for any warrior. While the war ended soon after, her reputation was made, and to this day she remains one of the most feared Songaskian combatants in Aloria.
