Playing a Godborn (in contrast to Arkenborn) is not recommended for new players, due to the reading recommended, and the deep nuance of religions, and how they impact the lives and behavior of Godborn. Equally, Godborn tend to be very independently minded and operating, meaning they are not great starting places for connections with other Characters (and there equally aren't a lot of clergy Characters around to rely on). Playing a Godborn is generally considered more positive than Arkenborn, as Arkenborn are well recorded to be demon-spawn, and many Godborn have gone on to live virtuous lives. It should be noted however, that not all Godborn are treated equally, especially in the Regalian Empire. While Unionism based Godborn might receive preferential treatment, Regalia has very little information available on for example Sapphora or Asaredu Godborn, meaning these Godborn are not recognized as such, and are indistinguishable from generic Mages to Regalians (as Unionism is their state Religion, and they do not really acknowledge other Gods). Experiences as a Godborn may radically vary, Godborn may define how another player reacts to a Character at face value, but many will also completely ignore it. In lore, Godborn generally have a tough upbringing within society, as there is a level of unreasonable expectation on Godborn. Some rise to the occasion and become paragons of virtue in their faith, while others turn against the very faith that sired them in an act of rebellion, struggling against the judgement and derision of their inability to live up to expectations.

The Emended Unionist God Caan travels the world hunting Apostate Mages as an Aelrrigan Mage-Knight. Caan is the only God that copulates with non-Faithful and with mortals of other religions. Perhaps the strongest known Mage in the world, Caan is disciplined and a man of few words, but also known to have a terrible vice for lust. Caan's Godborn are less consistent than other Godborn, their personalities all over the place as well as where they end up in life, though many end up joining the Aelrrigan Order (or more specifically, forced into it by other Aelrrigans). Caan Godborn are functionally blind, their eyes burn so bright with glowing light that looking them in the eyes hurts for others, and any light that is not their own causes sharp pain in their eyes. Most go through life blindfolded or with goggles, just like Caan. Caan Godborn tend to be more care-free, because Emended Unionism is less expectant of Godborn.

| Niall and Nolan are the (Dogmatic) Unionist Twin-Gods representing the duality of art and war, of softness and harshness, of culture and chaos, and of divine inspiration and creativity.
The Unionist Gods Niall and Nolan are rarely seen, though occasionally do appear to bless a barren single mother with children. Niall and Nolan do everything together, and so when Niall and Nolan Godborn are born, they are always born as twins, while the mother is tasked with the arduous test of faith of raising these so-called Twindivine Godborn (who always have two fathers). Twindivine Godborn twins are always born in a reflection of their two father pairings, one of military mind, and one of artistic mind, but more importantly, they can swap roles anytime. Twindivine Godborn tend to have the most societal expectations placed on them, because Unionism is a very autocratic religion with a heavy emphasis on exemplary behavior and conduct, leading some to buckle under the weight of expectations. Equally however, Twindivine Godborn (when virtuous and pro-state in conduct) are treated with extra privilege in Regalia.

| Amandaros is the (Evintarian) Unionist God of life-lust, happiness, celebration and progeny. It is well established that he is part-God part-Void Demon in Evintarian Unionism.
Amandaros is not a person but rather an extra-dimensional entity that nonetheless is an Evintarian Unionist God. Amandaros can either be summoned physically, or his mask can be put on any mortal to manifest his divinity, thus producing an Amandaros Godborn. Amandaros is not biological sex-locked, and can even produce a Godborn with another man, or an independent couple altogether. Amandaros Godborn are never born with the God's intent, but rather the parent(s) who seek out the Mask(s) of Amandaros at the Temple of Birth. As such, Amandaros Godborn can have single parents, or two parents unrelated to Amandaros, and be of any compatible Race. Amandaros Godborn are seen as a divine blessing by the faithful, though there is a very strict enforcement of the faith on them, and if they stray, they receive the same treasonous distinction by the Etosian Council.

Godborn are the offspring of specific divine entities of the Religions on Aloria, that even includes Estellon and Void Worship even though they are based on extra-planar entities. The Godborn manifest unique appearances, personality, and powers based on their heritage, but also have a uniquely difficult life within their own religious communities. Far from being worshiped or praised as the children of the god, Godborn are uniquely cursed with a demand to prove themselves, a task which for many of them seems too great to achieve, and so many of them languish in irrelevance, subject to the mockery and derision of the faithful, as if they are an extension of the inability of their religion to prove its superiority to others. In fact, many of the Godborn become an extension of religious wars between the various beliefs around the world, even if they nominally live in relatively peaceful conditions in various countries. There is always the hope that a Godborn will beat the Godborn of other religions in fame and name, though failing that, the criticism towards them is also proportionally more severe. It is said among the various religions that when a Godborn is born, the Gods flip a coin, with one side resulting in them being paragons of their faith, pious and virtuous, and the other side resulting in them being a curse of crime, violence and disappointment.

Rules to playing a Godborn

 • Godborn can only ever be from one God and a mortal pairing. Godborn also cannot be Arkenborn at the same time.
 • Godborn are only ever born to faithful mortal parents. Gods do not copulate with heathens, heretics, or non believers.
 • Godborn should arise from reasonable combinations, like Halfvel Old Gods Ailor, not Asha Godborn of an Estellon mother.
 • Godborn have a strict set of mandatory traits and optional aesthetics, all of which are overwritten by Afflictions.
 • While it is not strictly disallowed to play a Godborn Archon, we strongly advise against it.
 • The following Races cannot be Godborn: Yanar, Bralona, or Maraya if they were specifically awakened from a Vault.
 • Being a Godborn does not make a Character Occult, though the Regalian State may still treat some of them as such.
 • Godborn sometimes have maximum ages in below listing, as not all gods are "found" at the same time or known.
 • Godborn can derive further God Magic Abilities in Custom Kits, though never non-Argumentation.
 • Godborn status is not transferrable across generations, meaning that one Godborn does not sire more Godborn.
 • Godborn status is immediate on birth, cannot be hidden, and for many provides a rough childhood for Godborn.
 • Some Religions, like Dragon Worship, do not have a Godborn variant. This is because these Gods do not copulate.

Playing a Godborn

Halfvelborn.png

Halfvel Godborn, of Old Gods
The only God within Old Gods that produces Godborn is Halfvel (also called Godsun among the Ceardian Old Gods worshipers) who mingles among mortals. Halfvel's choices for partner are seemingly arbitrary, sometimes he resides in an area for a long time, sometimes he appears one night after a woman who could not conceive prays to him, to give her what she wants. Within the frame of Old Gods as a religion, Halfvel's children are called Storfødt (or Great Born in Common) and there is a general expectation that they will be "better than the average man or woman or person", a super-human of a kind that brings great fame and glory to their memory. Halfvel Godborn tend to be unrestrained and independent people, who are restless in search for the new great thing, achievement, ambition, or person to "do", never content in the moment or with their lot in life.

 • Required Traits: No max age, must be Ailor, Half-Ailor, Dwarf, Half-Dwarf, or Urlan, must have black hair, and must have Wolf-God Eyes (sky-blue irises, with dark-gray sclera).
 • Optional Traits: Halfvel Godborn can have increased height and build, or a green-blue glowing skin discoloration shaped like a tree on their back and arms which grows as they age.
 • Unique Trait: Halfvel Godborn are always Marken, cannot be cured, and can speak humanoid languages in all Transformations. Additionally they have perfect nightvision in dark environments.
Orcgods.png

Da'amu or Asinum Godborn, of Asaredu
Both Da'amu or Asinum produce Godborn in the Asaredu faith, but they are grouped together because their children are both born as "Half-Death". Da'amu and Asinum seek out impressive followers of Asaredu (not necessarily Eronidas), who have achieved legendary feats or power. They then offer a bargain, for that person to raise a demigod of their siring, in exchange for protection of their soul after death. If accepted, the Gods produce a Godborn, which is presented the next day (skipping gestation for Da'amu). Da'amu's Godborn carry some significance both in Asaredu and Ordial Cultism, as their connection with Bintaar is always greater than that of other mortals. Because Asaredu Godborn can see both Aloria and the Beyond, they tend to be more stoic, soft spoken, and calculated in their actions, melancholic at seeing both the living and dead world at once.

 • Required Traits: No max age, must be Eronidas or Half-Eronidas, and must have Half-Death Eyes (either yellow or blue, dark sclera, and irises produce a wispy trail as they move).
 • Optional Traits: Asaredu Godborn can have increased height and build, extended bone protrusions from the body like spikes, or turn parts of their body see-through to show bones.
 • Unique Trait: Asaredu Godborn can move over long distances by ghost-shifting anywhere, so long as they have been there before (even into buildings). Cannot be done to shift into or out of Emote Range of Combat.
Sapphor22a.png

Sapphora Godborn, of Estellon
Sapphora is a rather unique God to produce Godborn, because she only copulates with other women, requiring no male intervention despite her being completely female coded. Sapphora remains at the Temple of Tantilizing Regret in the Allorn Empire, which is the only place where she can be petitioned by someone to have a Godborn child. While Sapphora is a carnal Goddess, she is very picky with who she sees a "golden threaded fate" in before agreeing to have a Godborn, so that a child is always a blessing. Sapphora Godborn are not lustful reflections of their mother, but rather keenly aware that the carnal desires are a pathway to power, to control, and useful to exploit the weaknesses of others. Sapphora's Godborn hold a special place among Estellon Faithful as blessed, similar to the way Arkenborn are considered magically blessed.

 • Required Traits: No max age, must be Teledden/Solvaan/Fin'ullen/Maquixtl/Isldar/Suvial/Kathar or any Half-Race of these, and have Saphery-Eyes (Golden iris with pink flecks)
 • Optional Traits: Sapphora Godborn can have any number of movable snake-head hair strands, floral glowing pink patterns on their skin, or metallic golden glowing hair.
 • Unique Trait: Sapphora Godborn gain Radiant Magical Talent without any Spell Point Buy investment.
Life.png

Avinla Godborn, of Estelsoor
Avinla Godborn are a bit different from other Godborn, in that Avinla is obviously petrified, and incapable of siring children. Avinla Godborn are instead born in the House without Shadows, where the largest chalice of fire sometimes turns blue, before a toddler walks out of the flames, who is from that point on known as Avinla Godborn, as born from the fire. Avinla Godborn frequently reach out into the world to find a solution to the petrification of their mother, as the Suvial believe that they are sent by the soul of Avinla to help her escape and return the cycle of life and death to her people. Avinla Godborn however sometimes lose their way, as the world is vast, and especially places like Regalia filled with temptations to lead the faithful astray, while the search for a cure for Avinla also seems quite hopeless for decades.

 • Required Traits: No max age, must be full-blood Suvial only, and have Fireborn-Eyes (the eyes are solid aflame, emitting flame particles as they move around that are cold to touch)
 • Optional Traits: Avinla Godborn can have hair made out of solid cold-to-touch fire, or have fire glowing tattoos on their skin that change in color hue like a flickering flame.
 • Unique Trait: Avinla Godborn gain the Radiant Revive Pack for free. Additionally they can Transform into Flame Form, disguising them into a humanoid solid flame entity.
222221431.png

Morrlond Godborn, of Void Worship
Morrlond Godborn are a bit unique because they are not directly conceived by Morrlond, as Morrlond loves Sinnavei and does not lay with mortals. Morrlond's scales however detach from his body over time as he travels the oceans, these scales coming to life and growing to become large bipedal deep-sea monsters with Demon Souls. These Abyssal Horrors sometimes venture onto land and can copulate with mortals, thus producing Morrlond Godborn. Despite not being directly conceived, Abyssal Horrors are still made from the flesh and power of Morrlond, and as such, their children are considered Morrlond Godborn. Morrlond Godborn are actively welcomed in Fin'ullen society, but rejected pretty much everywhere else for being monster-children, even worse than Arkenborn or Godborn of the wrong hated religions.

 • Required Traits: Morrlond Godborn have no specific requirements. Though, whatever Race they are born as (always 100% the mother's), they have Fin'ullen Racial Traits.
 • Optional Traits: Morrlond Godborn can have deep sea monster mutations like sea serpent tails, scaled arms and claws, tentacle hair and other such deep sea aquatic aesthetics.
 • Unique Trait: Morrlond Godborn gain the Pack Sinistral Rage Pack for free, however are not able to invest in Radiant Point Buy or Cleric Point Buy.
Sungod.png

Akhet Godborn, of Baskarr
The only God within Baskarr that produces Godborn is Akhet. Akhet has one night stands with anyone he can get his hands on, as he is after all, the Lord of Thousand Sons. Akhet however exclusively copulates with other Asha, not even Half-Asha, meaning his Godborn can only ever be fullblood Asha. Akhet's children are called Reclamators by the Baskarr faithful, believing that they act like super-soldiers to help the Asha reclaim their heritage and legacy, because they are born better and stronger than other Asha on average. Equally, those that refuse to assist in the plight of the Asha to reclaim their old homeland and heritage from the Ailor and Elves who live on it, are outcast as Race traitors.
