Akhet-hedj, Rising of the Sun, or figuratively in old Dewamenet the phrase starter 'Akhet set off at dawn,' is a necklace with a brilliant golden stone set in the middle that seems to shine no matter the time of day. Akhet-hedj is part of a larger set of royal regalia of the former King of Gods, who having now relinquished the seat of power to his brother Tjafar who has returned to lead the pantheon again, has allowed his Artifacts to spread throughout the world so that they can be useful to his faithful (or lost them in disguise while running after another mortal Asha to flirt with, or invite to a party). As a piece of Akhet's royal jewelry and recently introduced to the world, Akhet-hedj has a very short history but quite a bit of figurative significance due to its original owner.

Origins

All of Akhet's royal jewelry including bracelets and necklaces are painstakingly memorized in the poems of the river tribes that held on to the old traditions that were forgotten by those subjugated to Allorn servitude, and found occasionally depicted painted on the walls of caves or in graffiti cryptically disguised as something else. Modern hindsight study of these legends gives the impression that even though they were not originally royal artifacts, Tjafar the Shaper God made them for him as a gift, with a different one completed on every birthday, until he had so much jewelry that he had no idea what to do with it all and started handing them out as gifts to the people when he would pass them by.

Appearance

Akhet-hedj is a necklace of thin Living Metal filament that seems to always be rippling where it is set into the shape of ribbons, extending seamlessly to fit the height and breadth of the wearer. Even if the wearer is unable to manipulate Living Metal, it seems to respond to their needs by jerking back when it would be about to snag on something or be pulled at by someone hostile. Where the necklace falls to the center of the chest, a more static rectangular frame with hieroglyphic ornamentation spelling out a verse of Baskarr holy poetry is set. In the middle, a golden stone usually more the color of amber is carefully placed, that seems to glow brighter when the wearer stands under the direct gaze of the sun, shimmering with Akhet's divine gaze.

Permanent Mechanics

• Akhet-hedj holds a special place to Baskarr believers and Asha in particular, who respect the holder more, due to its relation to the Baskarr God Akhet.

Artifactspark Mechanics

• When the wearer needs to see in the dark, if they whisper a request to Akhet for help, the central stone glows bright gold and they gain perfect Nightvision.
• If given to a Mundane non-Asha, Akhet-hedj grants the wearer entry to the elusive Ashal Kingdoms which are usually barred to foreigners, as a 'Guest of Akhet'.
