The Ability and Proficiency System | |
---|---|
This page involves the Abilities and Proficiency system, which is a core part of how Combat Roleplay and "Competitive" Roleplay works on Massivecraft. To see an explanation of general Rules, Terminology, and Mechanics used on this page, read the Abilities page. To see a broader explanation of the Abilities and Rules used on this page, read the Proficiency Page. To see an indexed list of all Abilities, read the Ability List Page. |
Mounted Point Buy is part of the Proficiency System. The Mounted Point Buy Category is mostly for Players using the following: Supremium Mounted MCPets, Carriages, or any other kind of Mountable Plugin Pet. For those without Supremium, a free Capybara Mount is provided here. Mounts may also be used in server roleplay, stories and more as an aesthetic feature. They cannot offer any bonus to combat roleplay outside of the parameters of Mounted Point Buy. The Mounted Point Buy Packs are designed around the use of a Mount in combat, while also setting up some ground rules for the use of Mounts in Combat Roleplay. The rules for using a Mount are listed below. When any Packs have been Point Bought in this Category, the Character automatically gains the following Ability for free, depending on the Mount used:
Ability Name | Ability Type | Ability Range | Ability Description | Modifiers |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cavalry Summon | Mount Technique | Self | Grants the user Cavalry Summon | N/A |
Ability Name | Ability Type | Ability Range | Ability Description | Modifiers |
---|---|---|---|---|
Carriage Summon | Mount Technique | Self | Grants the user Carriage Summon | N/A |
Mounted Roleplay Rules
- For gameplay purposes, the Mount itself cannot be targeted unless using a Dismounting ability. All Damage done to the Mount is done to the rider instead.
- Mounts do not fit through doorways into buildings no matter how large they are. Mounts cannot be used inside Rentals, Bases, Estates, or Businesses, but can go into Stables.
- Carriages and Horses cannot be summoned or used in underground tunnels or the sewers, with one exception. Afflicted Characters can summon monster/magic Horses only in the Sewers.
- Characters can only be removed from a Mount by choice, or by a Dismounting ability.
- If the player no longer has the Supremium Rank, it is permissible to remove these Packs and exchange them for other packs and Proficiency investments.
- Point Buy Packs titled "Mounted" require the user to be on a Mount. Point Buy Packs titled "Familiar" do not require the user to be mounted, or have any visible pet.
- To summon a Mount, use /mcpets ingame and select the mount category to select the icon of your chosen pet.
- If a Character wants to use Magic and Magic Point Buy to Summon their Mounts, the Player may choose to make this Proficiency Point count as Magic instead.
