Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory-Seeker is the legendary longsword of the God Emperor Allest of [[Unionist]] Faith, renowned for its glory and use at the hands of a legendary combatant. Initially forged by his direction, Sangria saw only victory in the hands of Allest, until his demise. The blade was taken from Allest's corpse, and paraded as a trophy, until it was stolen for its value. The blade passed many hands before it reached the Regalian Archipelago again, brought to Vultaro by a staunch Unionist. From there, the blade was taken on a Pilgrimage to the Holy City. Sangria is a legendary artifact amongst Unionists, especially those who dedicate themselves to Allest, believing that the blade enacts his will in the modern day.  
Sangria, Blessed Blade of the Glory-Seeker, is one of the many weapons of Emperor Allestrain I of Regalia, a legendary large longsword. Sangria was one of Emperor Allest's most remarkable weapons, on account of its size and design, and in many ways became tied to his reputation as an undefeated champion both on the battlefield and in the arena. Sangria is considered one of Unionism's weapons, as it led the charge against the Pagan armies of the Skaggers while Allest made war with them. It was the Skaggers eventually who defeated and killed Emperor Allest, after which the weapon was used as a trophy among them. Eventually, the weapon disappeared from the historical narration, until it reappeared in Regalia, either by divine hands or because the weapon was rumored always to seek the worthy to wield it for the faith.

Sangria's origins are somewhat well-recorded, as its first appearance in history was in the hands of the God Emperor Allest, who was said to have it forged to unique and (at the time) strange specifications. During Allest's life, it was nearly synonymous with him, and predominantly found use in the subjugation of [[Nordskag]] by the God Emperor. After the God Emperor's death, the sword passed along many armies and collectors, some who wished to quickly discard of it as they found, in their hands, it did not live up to the legends of Allest's might. Sangria is a large longsword, the blade has been hammered to rippling, many-folded perfection and tempered so masterfully that its near-opalescent surface shines a distinctly violet color in some angles of light, and a menacing red in others. It was said that those Allest brandished it against would see red upon it if he intended to slay them, and see violet if he were to show them mercy, though this is entirely hearsay as the steel’s color is a purely mundane facet of its metalwork. The cross guard has been wrapped many times over with sacred linens typically reserved for wrapping Unionist dead before their cremation, still smelling faintly of funerary perfumes. Dead within its center is a golden eye, set with a silver pupil, connecting to the red leather-bound handle. From the pommel hangs a rosary composed of many beads carved from knuckle bones: each knuckle bone taken from a person the blade has cut down, severed from their hand with it, and having their name and a prayer for their soul etched into the polished bone.
Sangria is classified as a Weapon Artifact, meaning it cannot be wielded at the same time with other Weapon Artifacts by the same owner. Sangria is a longsword in design, though because Allest was large and the weapon was made to fit his proportions, it is sometimes thought of as a greatsword in the hands of an average or short person. The weapon has a strongly reflective opalescent sheen, Unionist iconography, and sacred prayer linens wrapped around the handle that would traditionally be used to embalm the dead before cremation.

Sangria is a Primal Artifact. As Sangria is an artifact, there are several rules associated with Artifact Ownership. Foremostly, Artifact conflict is not opt-in. A Player may never be "too drunk", "too tired", or "not interested", in a third party attacking them to try and steal the Artifact. Artifact owners may not RP-log from being ambushed. Secondly, Artifact owners Rentals/Estates/Bases can be Raided following the Mage Vault rules, requiring the attacking party to initiate a Ticket with Lore Staff for the planning. Artifacts cannot be destroyed, disarmed, magicked away, yanked from an owner's hands or otherwise disappeared with Abilities, they can only be dropped when the wielder has been Knocked Out or willingly hands it over. Artifact owners are also permanently Control Power Immune, and are also immune to any Special that would establish control over them. All of Coraveau's Abilities are classified as God Magic (Primal) Dimension Alignment.  
Artifact Mechanics are split between Permanent Mechanics, Sparked Mechanics and Sparked Combat Mechanics. Permanent Mechanics are always available to the wielder of the Artifact. Sparked Mechanics and Sparked Combat Mechanics are only available if the Artifact has an Artifactspark. Sparked Combat Mechanics are noted separately, because this makes them easier to find, but they are no different from Sparked Mechanics in general. ==Collectible Artifact==
Artifacts are very cool, and make a Character super powerful. That being said, due to circumstances of Roleplay, a Character may end up holding onto an Artifact for months on end. This is generally not a problem, but we believe that Artifacts because of their uniqueness, should never be held onto in perpetuity by one Player. After a few months, it is time for the next player to be able to enjoy the artifact, and for this reason, Collectibles exist. After 120 days of non-consecutive Artifact ownership, an Artifact is automatically confiscated, and the Player who lost it is given a Collectible. Collectibles are thematically and aesthetically similar to the Artifact, meaning the loss of an Artifact does not visually detract from a Character's established design. However, they cannot hold Artifactsparks and only inherit the Permanent Mechanics from the Artifact they were generated from (including the rules limiting their use). On the other hand, Collectibles can never be stolen from their owner, a Collectible is owned forever, and there is no upper limit to the amount of Collectibles a Character can have, or wield/use at the same time. Collectibles cannot be traded in, though some Events may ask for their sacrifice, destroying the Collectible. To summarize this Artifact's Collectible properties:
* When this Artifact is exchanged for a Collectible, the Artifact seeks new piety for its cause, leaving behind a Sanctus Blade.
* The Sanctus Blade Collectible inherits the Permanent Mechanic of the Artifact.
