There came a mortifying realization to the Evolists that what was attained in a mortal lifetime would ultimately have its value diminished, even if they were to preserve such in a way that defies death. Whether this meant ascending to join Demonic legions, or become a walking cadaver as an Undead, this was not enough for the Kaahl Malghoriirn, whose cruel progenies would eventually start and carry on the wicked traditions only the most vile slavers and misery-merchants could conceive. Malghoriirn, named after the Kaahl itself, was made in bargain with the Evolist God Catheron boiled down to this earnest desire: ‘to carry the torch’ on.
Malghoriirn, the Gold-Barbed Venom, is a cruel slight against the Evolist God Apotheon, where the tail of one of his followers was ripped away and fashioned into a perverse weapon to instead serve Catheron's will. Kalandryl Ranvanokh Malghoriirn was a follower of Apotheon, and was concerned that the idea of perfection would be lost to him upon his death. In an act to pass down perfection from generation to generation, he struck a deal with Catheron to create an Artifact worthy of this cause. In a cruel fate, Kaladryl's tail and spine were ripped out by the Evolist God, with Malghoriirn created in the process. Kaladryl's wish came true, at the cost of his life.

Origins
Description
Malghoriirn’s creation is a rather well-documented case as the Kaahl, and the many others who bloodied their hands to get a hold of it, lauds its creation from the Eclipse Witch, and so orate it where they can and seal its origins in tablets of polished black stone. These tablets still remain with the Kaahl to this day, barely if ever deviating from the original narrative, or so it goes: Kalandryl Ranvanokh Malghoriirn, the thirty secondth prodigious son, was an apostle dedicated to Apotheon. He, who spent a lifetime rifling through decadence and luxuries and people themselves, found himself mourning when the idea of perfection would be lost when his last breath would be siphoned from his body. The bargain with Catheron was one that never made it out of earshot between the deity and mortal, but it ended with Kalandryl’s demise as his tail was ripped out, spine included, to lay on his lick-wet carrion as a golden weapon. Kalandryl got what he wanted: an effigy that would be passed down from generation to generation, taking on the qualities of its future bearers, even as it came at the cost of his life.
Malghoriirn is classified as a Weapon Artifact, meaning they cannot be wielded at the same time with other Weapon Artifacts by the same owner. Malghoriirn is an indisputably beautiful spear just the same as it is a cruel one, with the length of its haft a spine spun in sun-charred, hardened sinew and the end of it a golden scorpion’s stinger. Void-Script can be seen continuously running down the spear’s length, as if never being able to quite settle down, and forever on the search for the place perfect for it.

Artifacts are very cool, and make a Character super powerful. That being said, due to circumstances of Roleplay, a Character may end up holding onto an Artifact for months on end. This is generally not a problem, but we believe that Artifacts because of their uniqueness, should never be held onto in perpetuity by one Player. After a few months, it is time for the next player to be able to enjoy the artifact, and for this reason, Collectibles exist. After 120 days of non-consecutive Artifact ownership, an Artifact is automatically confiscated, and the Player who lost it is given a Collectible. Collectibles are thematically and aesthetically similar to the Artifact, meaning the loss of an Artifact does not visually detract from a Character's established design. However, they cannot hold Artifactsparks and only inherit the Permanent Mechanics from the Artifact they were generated from (including the rules limiting their use). On the other hand, Collectibles can never be stolen from their owner, a Collectible is owned forever, and there is no upper limit to the amount of Collectibles a Character can have, or wield/use at the same time. Collectibles may be traded away by their owner if they are unable to use the Permanent Mechanic due to the use limitation. To summarize this Artifact's Collectible properties:
*Marty Will Fill This In
*The UNIQUE NAME Collectible inherits the Permanent Mechanic of Malghoriirn but can only be used by WHOEVER MARTY/ALEX WANT TO USE IT. While there are several UNIQUE NAME, each looks unique, though should be inspired by the appearance of Malghoriirn.

Artifact Mechanics
Malghoriirn is a Void Magic Artifact. As Malghoriirn is an Artifact, there are several rules associated with Artifact Ownership, see Artifact page. Malghoriirn also provides the following:
Permanent Mechanics
* Malghoriirn allows its wielder to be attuned to the space around them. They can declare a Territory theirs so long as it is a Rental Estate/Base/Etc that they own, and can only change its location once a week. While fighting in the Territory, or within Emote Range of it, this grants the wielder +2 Attack Stat (Breaks Cap up to 11).
Artifactspark Mechanics
* Choose 2 Free Packs from the following Categories: Magic Point Buy, Adapt Point Buy (Magic Variant Only), Theurgy Point Buy.
* Malghoriirn is made in the image of the Forceful Harmony, and allows its current wielder to take on the aspects of its previous (and oftentimes deceased) wielders. The wielder may choose two Mechanics from the Heritage Traits of any Elven People, based on the following list: Isldar Mechanic 1, Maquixtl Mechanic 1, Yanar Mechanic 5, Kathar Mechanic 3, Suvial Mechanic 2, Lanlath Mechanic 3, Fin’ullen Mechanic 5, Solvaan Mechanic 3, or Teledden Mechanic 1.
* Malghoriirn feeds off of the life-force of elves. Whenever the wielder contributes to KOing an Elf (including Half-Heritage Elves) in CRP (contributing means dealing at least 4HP of damage), the user immediately uses the Ability Sacred Portent from Sacred Portent Pack, without using an action and ignoring cooldowns, but only on themselves. Additionally, the user heals +2HP.
Legendary Artifactspark Mechanics
* Choose 1 Free Pack from the following Category: Magic Point Buy
* Malghoriirn can siphon the life-force from the willing and unwilling alike. When used on a willing, or KO’d Elf, the user can forcibly steal one of the target’s Heritage Mechanics, disabling it from the target, and granting it to the wielder instead for the duration. All stolen Mechanics are returned when Malgoriirn’s Spark is removed. Regardless of disguises, the victim will always know who it was that stole the Mechanic from them.
* The Legendary Artifactspark Weapon grants the user +3 Attack Stat (breaks cap up to 11) and +1 Defense Stat (breaks cap up to 9), and sets the minimum for their Attack Dice Rolls to 5. When the user is KO’d, they can choose to instantly teleport them, and the Artifact, safely to their home. This can only be done once (and must be reported to Lore Staff). Subsequent uses of this teleport mechanic must sacrifice the Artifact’s Spark in order to teleport the user and the Artifact. The Artifact is considered de-sparked, and the Artifactspark is granted to whoever KO’d the user.

Artifacts
NameMalghoriirn, Gold-Barbed Venom
OriginEvolism
TypeWeapon

Description

Malghoriirn is classified as a Weapon Artifact, meaning they cannot be wielded at the same time with other Weapon Artifacts by the same owner. Malghoriirn is an indisputably beautiful spear just the same as it is a cruel one, with the length of its haft a spine spun in sun-charred, hardened sinew and the end of it a golden scorpion’s stinger. Void-Script can be seen continuously running down the spear’s length, as if never being able to quite settle down, and forever on the search for the place perfect for it.

Artifact Mechanics

Artifact Mechanics are split between Permanent Mechanics, Sparked Mechanics and Sparked Combat Mechanics. Permanent Mechanics are always available to the wielder of the Artifact. Sparked Mechanics and Sparked Combat Mechanics are only available if the Artifact has an Artifactspark. Sparked Combat Mechanics are noted separately, because this makes them easier to find, but they are no different from Sparked Mechanics in general. For more information on Artifactsparks, read the Resources Page. For Rules on Artifact ownership, see the Artifacts Page.

Collectible Artifact

 • Marty Will Fill This In
 • The UNIQUE NAME Collectible inherits the Permanent Mechanic of Malghoriirn but can only be used by WHOEVER MARTY/ALEX WANT TO USE IT. While there are several UNIQUE NAME, each looks unique, though should be inspired by the appearance of Malghoriirn.
