Mantel van Moed is the cape of Ser Alfons Koopman, an Anglian Viridian Knight who served as one of the military leaders in the Perrion War. Far from home, he had his cape embroidered along the edges with golden thread that evoked the agrarian idyllicism of his homeland. Ser Koopman was instrumental in leading the Regalian forces to a decisive victory at the First Battle of Haut-Visois—one of the most strategically important castles in the south of Perrionne. Three and a half months later, a retaliatory magical attack blasted one of the battlements to rubble while Ser Koopman and dozens of members of the Regalian forces were standing upon it. Buried under crushing rubble, Ser Koopman had no hope of survival, however his cape remained entirely undamaged and the vibrant green was tarnished by neither dust nor blood. Mantel van Moed would go on to remain a lasting testament to the valor of Ser Koopman and was worn by Viridians of Anglian descent from then on. This is a Knight Collectible, obtained as a gift from the rank-up process, for the Character Raina Hathewaye.
Appearance
Mantel van Moed is a finely woven cape in the standard Viridian green color and long style. Impossibly thin golden thread is embroidered into the edges of the cape and an ornate design of an Anglian wheat field lines the bottom hem. The cape is supported over the wearer’s chest by a golden chain carefully smithed so that each link is a pair of wheat stalks. All told, the cape is a perfect, if uncommon, harmony of Anglian heritage and the Viridian Order.

Devotion and Decorum: Mantel van Moed never creases, tarnishes, stains, singes, or wrinkles when worn as a Viridian Knight’s pristine green cape is the most visible symbol of the honor and legacy of their Order. Additionally, Mantel van Moed does not snag on obstacles and if it would otherwise become caught or tangled it slips through whatever was pinning it, however this does not stop others from grabbing the cape intentionally.
