The Regalian Empire’s gladiatorial pits have existed since it was but a Kingdom, but no soul alive has reached the win-loss record of [[List_of_Regalian_Arch_Chancellors#Cedmir_I_&_Alexander_I_(205-216_AC)|Arch-Chancellor Alexander Kade]]. Eventually, war took up enough of his time that he could no longer fight in the pits, so he commissioned a set of gauntlets for his many chosen champions. While these Blacksteel fists were worn, they carried a reputation of constant victory. Eventually though, as with the tides of the pit, these champions would age and lose, and the one who found victory against them would become the Chancellor’s next champion.

==Description==
After Chancellor Alexander’s death on the battlefield, his champion’s gauntlets, now named the Warbound Ironfists, were set on a pedestal in the center of the colosseum he so often frequented. It is unclear who set them there, though modern theories imply it was the will of Alexander himself so that the torch of pit fighting might be carried into the new age. Gladiators fought for six long hours until one unnamed man left with the gauntlets and soon lost them in a fight thereafter, where the Warbound Ironfists were lost track of until eventually returning to Regalian interests as Brand had many times before - from the gory aftermath of violence against [[Fornoss]] Worshippers.
The Warbound Ironfists are scratched Blacksteel gauntlets that fit hands of any size, engraved with gold fitting a victor’s position. They hum with the lingering power of the God of Gladiators, centered on a Unionist eye. Worn from prior battles, the golden accenting remains untouched, a reminder that Brand ensured his fighters upheld their composure.

The Warbound Ironfists are a set of scratched Blacksteel gauntlets that seem to fit hands of any size, to match the many walks of life Brand would once be patron to. They are engraved with the gold fitting of a victor’s position, which hums gently with the lingering power of the God of Gladiators, centered on a Unionist eye placed on the backhand of each gauntlet. Though they are worn from prior battles, the golden accenting is untouched, as if to remind that through thick and thin Brand made sure his fighters upheld their composure.

* The Warbound Ironfists are the weapons of Chancellor Alexander’s champion. When the user is fighting in any fighting pit, or against Fornoss Worshippers, they gain +2 to Attack Stat (breaks cap up to 11).
* The UNIQUE NAME Collectible inherits the Permanent Mechanic of Warbound Ironfists but can only be used by MARTY/ALEX FILL IN. While there are several UNIQUE NAME, each looks unique, though should be inspired by the appearance of Warbound Ironfists.
====Artifactspark Mechanics====
* Choose 2 Free Packs from the following Categories: Athletic Point Buy, Melee Point Buy, Training Point Buy.
* When the wielder is brought to 6HP, they automatically use the Ability Divine Savior from Paladin Point buy on themselves, without using an action, without needing to be in the stance, but not ignoring cooldowns (if they already have the ability). It always counts as Heretic function.
* The user of the Warbound Ironfists gains the pack Dueling Invocation from Invoke Point Buy, considered Unionist God Magic. Additionally, they always count as 7 Strength when making out of combat Dice Rolls using Strength.

====Legendary Artifactspark Mechanics====
* Choose 1 Free Pack from the following Category: Athletic Point Buy
* The Warbound Ironfists’ might crushes those who would cheat with magic in combat. When attacking characters using Magic as a defense or attack stat, (excluding Relicsworn Undead), the wielder’s Attacks deal -3HP instead of -2HP. Additionally, when the wielder would be KO’d, they can instantly use the Ability Divine Revive with its Heretic function from Paladin Point Buy (keeps cooldowns).
* The Legendary Artifactspark Armor grants the user +1 Attack Stat (breaks cap up to 11) and +3 Defense Stat (breaks cap up to 9), and sets the minimum for their Defense Dice Rolls to 5. When the user is KO’d, they can choose to instantly teleport them, and the Artifact, safely to their home. This can only be done once (and must be reported to Lore Staff). Subsequent uses of this teleport mechanic must sacrifice the Artifact’s Spark to teleport the user and the Artifact. The Artifact is considered de-sparked, and the Artifactspark is granted to whoever KO’d the user.

OriginAlexander the Giant

The Regalian Empire’s gladiatorial pits have a long history, with Arch-Chancellor Alexander Kade holding the record for most victories. He eventually commissioned the Warbound Ironfists, a set of gauntlets for his chosen champions, which became synonymous with constant victory. After his death, the gauntlets were placed in the colosseum where they were eventually lost and later resurfaced in a conflict involving Fornoss worshippers.

Description

The Warbound Ironfists are scratched Blacksteel gauntlets that fit hands of any size, engraved with gold fitting a victor’s position. They hum with the lingering power of the God of Gladiators, centered on a Unionist eye. Worn from prior battles, the golden accenting remains untouched, a reminder that Brand ensured his fighters upheld their composure.

Artifact Mechanics

Artifact Mechanics are split between Permanent Mechanics, Sparked Mechanics, and Sparked Combat Mechanics. Permanent Mechanics are always available to the wielder of the Artifact. Sparked Mechanics and Sparked Combat Mechanics are only available if the Artifact has an Artifactspark. Sparked Combat Mechanics are noted separately, because this makes them easier to find, but they are no different from Sparked Mechanics in general. For more information on Artifactsparks, read the Resources Page. For Rules on Artifact ownership, see the Artifacts Page.

Permanent Mechanics

  • When concerning Dice rolls outside of Combat that derives off Strenght, Ironfist's wielder always counts as having 7 Proficiency Points invested in Strenght. Additionally, the wielder can perform great feats of strength out of Combat (carry multiple people, throw boulders, etc.). They also gain +7 in out of Combat dice roll Strength competitions.

Sparked Mechanics

  • The user initiates Combat with 2 extra HP, meaning they always start Combat with 12 HP instead of 10 HP.
  • Ironfist protects its wielder from illusions and Magical prisons or wards. If illusions are being used on Ironfist's wielder, they can punch through them, causing them to break and the Magic to be nullified. Additionally, if they are Magically constrained, trapped, or imprisoned (out of Combat), they can punch their way out. They can also punch down any Magical Barriers or walls that restrain their movement.

Sparked Combat Mechanics

  • Ironfist's wielder can choose 3 Free Packs from the following Categories: Paladin Point Buy, Melee Point Buy, or Training Point Buy.
  • Ironfist as a weapon was used to make war, and hunt down those that caused the death of Emperor Allestrain. Ironfist grants the wielder +2 Attack Stat (breaking Cap up to 11) while using Attack Emotes on those of the following Religions: Fornoss, Minor Faiths, Evolism. Additionally, even when not attacking Characters of these faiths, the wielder's Attack Dice Roll Minimum is set to 4.

Collectible Artifact

Artifacts are very cool, and make a Character super powerful. That being said, due to circumstances of Roleplay, a Character may end up holding onto an Artifact for months on end. This is generally not a problem, but we believe that Artifacts because of their uniqueness, should never be held onto in perpetuity by one Player. After a few months, it is time for the next player to be able to enjoy the artifact, and for this reason, Collectibles exist. After 120 days of non-consecutive Artifact ownership, an Artifact is automatically confiscated, and the Player who lost it is given a Collectible. Collectibles are thematically and aesthetically similar to the Artifact, meaning the loss of an Artifact does not visually detract from a Character's established design. However, they cannot hold Artifactsparks and only inherit the Permanent Mechanics from the Artifact they were generated from (including the rules limiting their use). On the other hand, Collectibles can never be stolen from their owner, a Collectible is owned forever, and there is no upper limit to the amount of Collectibles a Character can have, or wield/use at the same time. Collectibles may be traded away by their owner if they are unable to use the Permanent Mechanic due to the use limitation. To summarize this Artifact's Collectible properties:

  • Marty Will Fill This In
  • The UNIQUE NAME Collectible inherits the Permanent Mechanic of Warbound Ironfists but can only be used by MARTY/ALEX FILL IN. While there are several UNIQUE NAME, each looks unique, though should be inspired by the appearance of Warbound Ironfists.
