|fauna1    = [[Wolf]]
|fauna1desc    = The Northern Wolf is a staple animal in the iconography of [[Velheim]] culture and the entire [[Ailor]]-occupied North of [[Aloria]]. They have existed for centuries alongside northern settlements, preying on the weak and covered in a black fur coat. They are also monogamous creatures and are known to be made subservient to [[Dire Wolves]]. Due to their wide dispersal, it is unlikely that the canine will suffer any population decreases for a long time, not unless a more concentrated effort is paid to hunting them.
|fauna1desc    = Wolves have long been a predator at the fringes of many societies of [[Aloria]]. Predators, hunters, and pack animals, their role in modern-day Aloria has largely been reduced by the growing urbanization of the [[Regalian Empire]]. Still, the animal has been spread wide and is considered the first canine, having later become the many domesticated dog breeds beloved by [[Ailor]] in the modern day. The Wolf has somewhat diversified as well to fit the different terrains it lives in, with several subspecies forming in various areas of Aloria.

|fauna3    = [[Drowdan Dire Wolf]]
|fauna3desc    = The Drowdan Dire Wolf has become the subject of many [[Drowdar]] bogeyman-like tales, using the wolf’s fierceness to quell young children's curiosity of venturing outside their citadels. Vicious and hyper-aggressive, this beast is a constant threat to the dark-skinned elves that patrol their [[Void]]-infested lands and a prime example of how planar essence can change apex predators into something even worse. The beast was an unwanted discovery, found by an elf who’d only just escaped its clutches. These wolves are known for their fierce bite and their infamous overcoats that act almost like a natural armor. To this day, the Drowdar still hunt these creature in an everlasting struggle against the mutant canine ferocity, though more often than not, the Drowdan Dire Wolf is actually hunting them.

|fauna4    = [[Ceardian Silver Wolf]]
|fauna4desc    = Terror of many, symbol of some, the Ceardian Silver Wolf is a group predator, originating in [[Old Ceardia]] and has since then migrated to the harsher regions of the [[Regalian Archipelago]] and [[Essalonia]]. The Silver Wolf has been incorporated in much imagery and folklore as a symbol of fear and strength for the Old Ceardian people, as well as serving as a raging example of the saying “strength in numbers”. While a wolf on its own is not a particularly fierce creature, it's organized pack mentality and hunting strategies is what makes it a terrifying sight to behold, and if a pack of Silver Wolves descend on your sheep herds, you can do naught but watch.
|fauna5    = [[Rust Fang Wolf]]
|fauna5desc    = The Rust Fang Wolf is the cousin of the [[Common Silverback Wolf]], though has notable differences. The smaller, and far less spotted cousin of the Silverback is exclusive to the [[Regalian Archipelago]] and continues to become rare as its habitat is taken over by human activity. The Rust Fang Wolf formerly was a commonly hunted animal, much like its cousin, but was hunted so much that it was nearly run extinct. Now, the Red Fang Wolf is slowly recovering from its over-hunting and predating on the smaller creatures of the Archipelago.
|fauna6    = [[Common Silverback Wolf]]
|fauna6desc = Perhaps one of the most intelligent non-domesticated canines in [[Aloria]], the Common Silverback Wolf has been a nuisance to livestock herders and farmers of all races. Being one of the most elite hunters in its categories, it is nearly uncontested in its dominance on the food chain, only being threatened by the sentient races. Without any natural predation, the Common Silverback Wolf population has spread across Aloria, being found on every single continent, but remaining especially common in areas with woodlands and mountains, which is the native habitat of this species. Recently, the value of their pelt has increased and the hunting of these animals has exploded from only farmers hunting them to hunters going out of their way to kill them and take their pelts.
|fauna7    = [[Beedr Desert Wolf]]
|fauna7desc = Renowned for hunting in large packs, Beedr Desert Wolves are incredibly deadly once they’ve outnumbered their prey. Congregating in groups of ten or twelve, these beasts are almost impossible to spot due to their sandy fur and skinny bodies. They’ve been known to harass anything that dares travel the barren wastelands of [[Farah’deen]], leaving few survivors to tell the tale of these conniving scavengers that plague the land. The wolves will eat almost anything, seeing as roaming the endless sands would be extremely draining. The presence of the Beedr Desert Wolves and the packs they gather in only adds to the danger of traversing the dried wilderness.

Aloria is rich in both fauna and flora. This page specifically is dedicated to all recorded, extinct or still living, animals that roam the world of Aloria. All animals are split into their relevant categories. Keep in mind that this list is not final and will be added to when necessary. As a player you may claim one of the animals and try to write a Player Lore Prompt, though remind yourself to consult Lore staff about any relevant descriptions! Anyone is permitted to Roleplay a domesticated feline, canine, or songbird where applicable. For any other wild animal, please consult Lore staff as some animals are too wild and hostile to survive in an urban city like Regalia.
