A worldwide event, it saw all rotting flesh and bones on several continents coalesce into creatures known as Bone Horrors. An unknown magical event rendered them killable while simultaneously, [[Qadir]] mechanists crafted new weapons to defeat the monsters, turning the tide against them. |fauna15desc = The Undead are a strange creature known to roam [[Aloria]] for unknown reasons and are vilified in the minds of most as abominations. However, this has not always been the case. When the [[Allorn Empire]] reigned across the world, the Undead were valued as servants and heralds of [[Ammu-Loa]], working from his Grand Temple in fulfilling the needs of [[Altalar]] citizens. The [[Cataclysm]] has since seen Undead roam free and cause chaos, particularly so in [[Etosil]]. Undead remain a minor issue in most rural regions of the [[Regalian Empire]] but rarely exist in large numbers near population centers, allowing most to relegate them to scary stories told in the dark.
|fauna15desc = The Zhirakh are a trio of horrifying, [[Human]]-sized bugs whose true origin in [[Asha]] mythology is lost. Thought to be the children of [[Demons]], the creatures are said to seek out and singularly consume entire fields of crops by themselves, brutally defeating those who might try to protect their harvests from the hungering beasts. Stories also tell of their ability to fly across vast distances in search of food, and their utter hatred of the sun, so much so that their consumption is told to always occur in the night.

|fauna16desc = The Sufiq is an ancient, ethereal crane surrounded by the superstitions and traditions of the [[Asha]], often hailed as the soul guide of those moving from one world to the other. Frequently depicted alongside the Sefakhem to guide their hands whilst they are blinded, this creature is steeped in rumor and intrigue passed on from generation to generation by both word of mouth and ancient texts. Whether this bird is truly alive or the result of superstition given physical form is a point of contention for many scholars, as some are so steeped in their secrecy surrounding the Blades of the Passed’s history that they simply cannot come to a proper conclusion.

Aloria is rich in both fauna and flora. This page specifically is dedicated to all recorded, extinct or still living, animals that roam the world of Aloria. All animals are split into their relevant categories. Keep in mind that this list is not final and will be added to when necessary. As a player you may claim one of the animals and try to write a Player Lore Prompt, though remind yourself to consult Lore staff about any relevant descriptions! Anyone is permitted to Roleplay a domesticated feline, canine, or songbird where applicable. For any other wild animal, please consult Lore staff as some animals are too wild and hostile to survive in an urban city like Regalia.
